的贡献还是 N-fermion system 的 Slater determinant 。说到底这也还是个计算技巧
，没有多少物理在里面。
不过象 protein MD 这种蠢东西都能拿 Nobel 的话，Slater 拿一个也没什么大不了的
吧。 |

核心刊物譬如World Politcs, International Security,Foreign Affairs上发表过不少
文章，Jack Snyder等人编的Essential Readings of World Politics 第七章 War and
Strife，把他的文章和冯·克劳塞维茨，R. Jervis, M. Doyle, K. Waltz的文章收录在
一起，作为政治学的课本，所以说他是政治学家也不为过。呵呵，1985年他还被Nobel
Symposium邀请去做关于裁军的Presentation，这篇文章后来改写过发表在Foreign
Affairs上（“What Went Wrong With Arms Control?”），也是国际安全领域的经典之
一吧，他得奖的原因不也是"for having enhanced our understanding of conflict and
cooperation through game-theory analysis"么？

屈指算来，我在 Stanford 待了也快一年半了，这一年半来，物理上的长进不多，吹牛
的本事倒是学了不少。在美国吹牛也算一项本领了，以前和美国学生合作项目的时候，

我也算是吃了不少哑巴亏了。于是姑且今天我也吹一回牛，好歹我在 Stanford 也没算

polymer chemistry. It's pretty interesting, and now I have some new thoughts
about the role of Grubbs. Furthermore,unlike MAO catalysts, ROMP couldn't been
widely used in industrial applications. After reading this article, I strongly
agree with agostic, Kaminsky deserve Nobel better than Grubbs.

I just checked the link, they have all the scientific Nobel predictions.
Anyway, I think the chemistry is at least OK, but the physics is just too
superficial. If the three guys could win the prize, they would have done it
already. There seems to be no way to award those almost metaphysical physicists
Personally I think the chemistry prize would much probably go to those doing
synthesis, especially natural product.

customers complained about the copper contamination; almost impossible to get
rid of copper and ligands completely in such a big viscous system. ATRP might
only be a very classical beauty-on-paper case (sadly...).

除掉两篇生物的actin polymerizaiton，前十名分别为以下。
其中综述文章6篇，分别是Grubbs的两篇，马先生的1篇，
zigler-natta一篇，纳米复合材料两篇。
原创性research paper仅4篇，被引用均超过1000次。
其中Grubbs两篇，王锦山和马先生的一篇，Sawamoto一篇。
Grubbs已经得过了，
如果以后高分子化学有希望再次得到诺贝尔奖的话，
马先生和日本的Sawamoto的ATRP将是最有力的候选，
王锦山因为离开学术界，能不能得到，就看委员会是怎么看了。。。。
