report.
背景/递交时情况: 国内PhD,现在postdoc. 5个english paper (104 citations), 10个
中文paper (110 citations); media report 也就是1个F1000, 3个NewsRX, 3个主要的
citation; review 当时只有7个,没claim; 几个专业协会的会员,没claim,但PL及CV提
到. 6封推荐信(3个独立)是NIW时用过的.
从递交到现在,review涨到了28, publication及citation没太大变动. 最近实在没耐心
了,就递了PP, RFE是意料之中,感觉IO还是看了我的材料,但几乎是逐条否决,写了6页纸
. 看得我心凉了一大截.
IO虽然看了材料,倒也不是仔细, 比如: 6封推荐信/3个独立的,算成5封/2个独立的; 我
递交了新的offer letter,但IO认为我合同终止于去年6月.

EB1b, 140+pp, RD 3/28, ND 3/31, 今天收到律师的email，approval notice寄到了。
online查了一下，很诡异，说4/1收到申请，目前状态是acceptance。
我的case大多数人都评价对于EB1B来说比较strong，所以我冒险把自己和LD的485同时
file了。希望能够早些收到AP和EAD，早些拿到绿卡！
US 前10学校的BME PhD，现在是research scientist，30 journal paper (10+ first
author, 3 featured cover，average IF 6)，70+ conference abstract，20+ podium
presentation, 30~40 paper review for 11 journals+several conference
abstracts review, 19篇文章被NewsRX报道，5个faculty1000，2篇文章有press

就不顾面子来发贴了。
我09年初phd毕业的,普通的us top 50-70 大学 geoscience major，背景很弱。文章很
少才6篇2篇一作，虽然都是journal，但引用几乎没有，一作的一篇才被引了一次，另
外非一作的两篇也只被引用了5次。倒是有个coauther的book chapter, 这个book倒是
被引用了50+。但如此分布的引用，签证官会不会不count呢？有什么办法把这50+的引
用count进去么？ 另外review也只有5，6篇。membership都是交了钱就能入的，媒体报
道也近乎没有，虽然google到一个newsrx.com报导了我最近一篇一作（无引用），不知
道能不能算。
目前在大学任研究职位并在政府访问工作（其实是给政府干活）。EB1A是不敢想了，请
问我这种背景如果学校sponsor的话EB1B有没有戏？自己搞NIW呢？如有什么建议还请各
位大虾赐教。以后要常来本版了。 |

文章总数 20 (16 English, 4 Chinese, 11 first authored (这11个中间有5个是通讯

评审文章: 32次/14种杂志, 加上评审 2个来自欧洲的基金申请,1个刚开张的新杂志的
Editorial board member.
引用: 总数180左右,他引140左右.
推荐信: 7 (harvard大牛+自己老板+欧洲3个(一个是很不错的杂志主编)+韩国1个(院
士)+ 澳大利亚1个(双院士)
专业属于生物医学大领域,TOP10中的一个大学做千老.无获奖,媒体报道也基本没有(目
前只查到NewsRX报道了我的几篇文章,不知道这玩意给不给力,反正是放到contribution里了).
文章没有CNS,也没有CNS子刊之类的. 要是只看影响因子的话只能算中等,有个别的文章
属于中等偏上. 但如果领域内比较的话(SCImago Journal Rank),有大约6个杂志算是
top (top5以内).
律师建议PP,说他的客户多数都PP,而且他感觉PP和RFE并没多大关系. 我本来没这个打

not think I met this criteria.
Media report: one from professional journal, others from NewsRx. I don't
think it's very strong.
I used these to support my contribution. But the IO judged the awards and
media report based on his/her way even though I did not claim, and then
focused on my recommendation letters for contribution part. |

系统生成notice说”Request for Evidence"啦。
但其实，RFE的信是第二天才写的，
TSC Officer# XM 277，
邮戳显示是又过了一天才寄出的。
（我没有留fax#，所以notice本该当天寄出）
信里typo、数错数、引文安错人，sentence没写完等等，
错漏百出，可见有多仓促成文。
具体comments情况如下：
第一步
Award: not meet.
Media report: you meet this criterion （虽然我没claim).
Contribution: this criterion meets the requirement of the plain language of
the statute.
Authorship: you meet this criterion.
数下来meet三条了，但是IO在第一部分总结的时候却说:

显而易见，我的条件不咋地，我家LD又要省钱，DIY，且坚定不移的不肯PP。在TSC，一
拖就多半年，终于等来了华丽丽的NOID。
NOID根据两步法逐条分析，除claim的三条，连review也承认了，然后说totality不够
，同时没有证明今后会继续做相关专业造福美国。
该说我本来也觉得自己条件不够EB1的，但身边朋友09年过了好几个条件相对一般的，
我心痒痒就申了。因为老板牛，我要review要推荐信都很顺利，跟朋友要了些材料，很
快就把申请递了。结果10年底两步法出台，我那材料现在一看，的确准备的不符合标准
啊。
但是这等待的半年我又积累了新的东西。引用过百了；review了几十篇了，其中包括一

发帖数: 58 | 40 ＳＲ经历：initially filed on 07/31/2010.这是第三次service request， 前两次按常规流程打电话，发邮件，得到的
是不痛不痒的回复信。等的都有点麻木了，最近准备申请个training grant，需要有绿
卡。于是第三次08/22/11周一下午打电话，有个似乎比较senior的接线员直接给我做了SR（
前两次是电话转给第三者后才能做）。 这个人似乎非常负责，在电话里能够听到敲打
电脑的声音，完了之后才挂电话，并且推荐我去local的office当面找人谈。周四就收
到Email 说周二就已经发出RFE的邮件， 不知道是不是催了的结果。不到24小时就RFE。星期六收到了信 。 it was made by office #XM1102. 杀手否？
个人的一点总结是 ＳR 还是有用，关键要找对人，不过全是凭运气。

），没有提及我的名字，只提到Dr.xxx and his team,但提到了我文章的全名，后来该
报道又被Niuzer.com和Fwix.com等网站转载。在NewsRx上也找到了我文章的报道（
Studies in the Area of xxx Reported from University of xxx)，只是节选了文章
的部分abstract，看全文要花钱买。我也不知道这些网站是不是有名，这些到底算不算
媒体报道啊？还请给位多多赐教，万分感谢！！！ |

发帖数: 66 | 48 今天很凑巧,去年的今天刚好和律师签了合同办EB1-A,整整一年!准备了大半年递交上去
,主要是白天没时间弄,晚上回来吃完饭稳定下,就没多少时间了.准备过程是挺痛苦,特
别是整理收集详细的资料,查找引用啊啥的太费时间了.
RD: 6/27/2011 (一开始没用PP,自己感觉也不是很着急用绿卡,就不想浪费那个钱.后来
因为要由J1转H1B (我的J1已经用到第5年,必须要换H1B了),怕J1到期之前H1B批准不下
来就PP了140)
