医院--在医院网站上找医生--看医生是否接受我的保险--预约，告诉保险信息--看医生
。我不知道in-network的医院里也有out-of-network的医生。。。。。。
医生每次都只跟我谈了10分钟左右。今天收到账单，居然$750/次。我的保险的out-of-
network deductible是$1500,但每个账单里只有$185是算deductible的，所以这$750x3
全得我付。
现在该怎么做呢？跟保险公司argue还是跟医生argue?（好像保险公司已经付了医生钱
了。）医生有告知他并非in-network的义务吗？他每次收的copay,恰好是in-network
的价格，我从来没有疑心过，直到看到账单。大家对这种情况有啥建议？谢谢 |

发帖数: 1182 | 5 安装Dish Network的中文电视将近 3个月，总结一下经验教训和最佳安装方法
总体来说对他们的服务还是很满意的，尤其是customer service态度很好，基本上
一打就通，虽然俺的DVR坏了一次，但是很快他们就寄了一个新的，而且refund了
没信号的那几天的钱。
Dish Network安装你可以直接给他们打电话，也有一大堆的代理，一般代理都宣称
free installation, free device，我安装的时候就是在这家vmcsatellite安装的，
一定要注意，千万不要再犯俺犯的错误，打代理的电话安装实际上就是给他们送钱。
Dish Network有一个program叫做DishClub Card，就是说所有现在Dish Network的
用户都可以申请要这个gift card, 如果别人通过这个gift card加入Dish Network，
新加入的用户可以得到50$，而老用户可以得到每个月5$的discount，一共一年，
这样实际上老用户可以得到60$，意味着Dish Network实际上付出了110$, 唯一的
限制是每一个用户只可以最多推荐12名 |

Package. 但是其实他们不是， 他们是reseller。 如果你们家要装dishnetwork, 最好
和dish network 公司联系。 Reseller 一般给的优惠条件都不好。 他们靠从dish
network 公司里拿回扣赚钱。 他们说的条款也不完全和dish network 网站上的一样。
唉， 小生我竟然撒呵呵地把信用卡和ssn都告诉it了。。。但是由于他们查不到咱们的
信用记录， 所以到现在也没有来给我们安装。

少,基本原理明白。就是想弄明白在Linux这个特定的OS里是如何实现网络功能的。
查了一下，发现了一本书不错"Understanding Linux network internals" By
Christian Benvenuti. 好像这本书讲了常用的data structure,如何写network device
driver,以及IP 和IP layer 以下的实现。好像没有讲TCP和socket接口是如何实现的。
想问问大家，看"Understanding Linux network internals"这本书是不是可以作为入
门的书？谁看过这本书，谈谈感受？
如果想了解Linux kernel里TCP和socket接口的实现，看哪本书比较好？W. Richard
Stevens 的 "TCP/IP Illustrated" 是不是太general了，不是针对Linux的？ |

不过似乎Matlab在GUI 后台的func下load network时 这个network 被错误的读取 (in
put output数量都不对) 如果在中间加keyboard 走命令行则没问题

向保险公司appeal，一个月后收到回信，说申诉成功，因为是ER,保险公司帮我付。几
周后又收到回信，说前面一封信不算数了，经过重新审查维持原判，由于是out of
network 医生，我要付deductable。 付满后多余的账单保险支付60%。因为我今年的
deductable还没有付满，实际上我要付这300刀。
到底这钱我该不该付？感觉似乎不太合理。在ER痛得瓷牙咧嘴，哪里还顾得上问医生收
哪个保险啊？以前在同一个ER看过若干医生，从未碰上这种情况。各位懂行的或是有相

他自己的诊所不能做，就随他去了医院。
这个医生是in network的，所以也就没多想。
没想到做完之后收到医院病理科的两张大帐单，
一共快两千块了。
才知道虽然这个医生是in network，
但是他们医院，特别是帮我做病理分析的医生是out of network的。
于是抓狂。两千大洋啊。
问医生，他说帮我打电话问问，看怎么样，
但也说这些是out of his control的。
我给病理医生的billing打电话，他们说保险不付你就要付，
总不能让我们白干活吧。
我给保险公司打电话，人说，
你是没有out of network benefit的，所以只能你付，或者说让帮你做procedure的
医生跟病理医生看能不能write off。
我的医生同意帮试试，但估计不会很上心，也不会很快，
所以今天没忍住就又给保险公司打电话，
说我只知道做procedure的医生是in network的，
其它的要病理分析什么的，我也不懂，也不知道谁做，
再说也不是我能决定的。

发帖数: 538 | 32 我早孕检查中发现尿液中有trace of blood。ob推荐去看一个specialist。
去之前我特地打电话给保险公司，他们明确告诉我这个医生是在network内的。我自己
也在保险公司相关网站上查到了他的名字。那是2011年12月。
2012年1月我去看了这位specialist三次，现在保险公司账单回来processed as out of
network，要自己缴467块。
再打电话给保险公司，说这个医生没跟他们renew contract，现在out of network了。
但讽刺的是我仍然能够在保险公司的相关网页上看到这个医生的名字，甚至包括他最新
的联系方式（他最近搬了办公室）。
打电话给医生的billing office，也说他们至少2011年底前是在我保险公司的network
内的，最近的不知道。。。。。。-_-b
保险公司让我寄一份书面的appeal到kentucky的某个center，说60天会有回复。jms有
过类似appeal的经历吗？觉得我的appeal还有可能有戏吗？ 谢谢！ |

点是我们选的医院明明是in network的，也是我们ob选择的，我也是我的ob剖的，但是
后来才知道医院里不是所有provider都是in network（剖腹产所以用到一些其它
providers比如b超麻醉师什么的）。可是我们当时根本不知道，因为胎位不正，算是紧
急剖的，根本没时间管这些。请问这里的姐妹们是否有经验处理这样的情况？我们打算

到out-network lab去,结果保险不付。我很郁闷，我只能确定我的医生是in-network的
，可我没法控制他们把血样送到哪个lab化验。他们既然要了我的保险，就应该确认一
下保险是不是会付才送。如果知道会是这样，我不会在诊所里抽血，直接找in-network
的lab去做。

Dish Network有一个program叫做DishClub Card，就是说所有现在Dish Network的
用户都可以申请要这个gift card, 如果别人通过这个gift card加入Dish Network，
新加入的用户可以得到50$，而老用户可以得到每个月5$的discount，一共一年，
这样实际上老用户可以得到60$，意味着Dish |

发帖数: 9224 | 37 这年头，tech startup追捧social network, 讲究网友互动和UGC. 但我看到的成功的
不多。大部分social network以失败告终。
和social network类似的，很多个人创业的，很容易的就想，做个论坛啥的，聚人气，
然后想法monetize流量。但据我体会和分析，很难成功。首先，论坛和two sided
market差不多。其次，论坛的monetization很难。因为本质上，网友互动是社会行为，
如果掺杂了商业行为的话，会引起网友倒戈，忠实的网友都可能用脚投票。实践上，
Facebook, 新浪微博等，都暴露了这方面的问题。
所以，总体来讲，social network以及论坛性质的网络创业，很难。商业模式不清晰是
其一，如何聚集流量的问题是其二. 最近Quora转向，也证明了这点。光靠UGC, 是不行
的。搞不好就成了公共厕所（说法出处: 见网友评某bbs)
所以，我觉得social network创业，是个误区。提供确确实实的人家需要的服务，和无
与伦比的先进技术，才是正道。 |

前阵子去看医生，要做一个小的procedure,
他自己的诊所不能做，就随他去了医院。
这个医生是in network的，所以也就没多想。
没想到做完之后收到医院病理科的两张大帐单，
一共快两千块了。
才知道虽然这个医生是in network，
但是他们医院，特别是帮我做病理分析的医生是out of network的。
于是抓狂。两千大洋啊。
问医生，他说帮我打电话问问，看怎么样，
但也说这些是out of his control的。
我给病理医生的billing打电话，他们说保险不付你就要付，
总不能让我们白干活吧。
我给保险公司打电话，人说，
你是没有out of network benefit的，所以只能你付，或者说让帮你做procedure的
医生跟病理医生看能不能 |

医生的收费可以漫天要价, 比如打一针要价$2000. 如果保险公司
没有network这个体制的话, 那么就成了冤大头了, 怎么可能医生
要多少, 我们就陪多少?
凡是加入这个network的医生, 打一针保险公司只付$50(实际上是根据当地
其他医生收费算出来的类似平均值的数目). 这样对于保险公司而言, 有利于
控制风险, 限制了医生的收入. 对于医生而言, 开拓了潜在的客户源, 因为美
国绝大多数病人都是隶属于那若干大保险公司的, 不加入这些network等于
自己放弃了很多客户.
当然对于大牛医生, 他们不担心自己的客源, 依然可以漫天要价, 不受保险
公司的限制. 但是对于保险公司而言, out-of-network的coverage比较低,
甚至是capped, 于是漫天要价的结果, 主要是病人承担.
还有另外一种保险的形式叫hmo, 那种有点像包干制. 如果你用hmo的保险,
