Big 12 university leaders agreed to equally share the wealth from the
conference's most lucrative television deals if its members agree to lock
those top-tier TV rights into the league for at least six years.
The league's announcement Monday was an encouraging sign for the long-term
health of the conference, but it is no done deal.
Missouri is considering leaving the Big 12, possibly for the Southeastern
Conference, and the university's board of curators is scheduled to meet

Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe is out after the conference nearly collapsed
for the second time in just over a year.
In a statement, the Big 12 said its board of directors and Beebe reached a
“mutual agreement” for Beebe to leave the job immediately.
More on realignment
Former Big Eight Commissioner Chuck Neinas will serve as interim
commissioner. He was a unanimous selection by Big 12 university presidents
on a conference call Thursday.

2 PM TUESDAY - Multiple sources have confirmed to Orangebloods.com Tuesday
the Big 12 presidents on Monday voted to admit West Virginia as the school
to replace Missouri in the Big 12 as school No. 10.
But West Virginia would not participate in the Big 12 for the 2012-13 school
year, the sources said. The Mountaineers' acceptance into the Big 12 would
be effective for the 2013-14 school year, which would fulfill 22 of the 27-
