2009年1月因求爱不成动杀机，在校园持刀行凶，斩首杀害一名同校女生的美国维吉尼
亚理工大学华裔博士生朱海洋，4月19日获判无期徒刑，而且终生不得假释。有曾对朱
海洋及他的家人、朋友进行多次访谈的心理专家指出，朱海洋可能一直都有忧郁症，而
且案发前还曾向父亲表示想自杀。
个性太危险 法官认为须与社会永久隔离
蒙哥马利郡巡回法庭法官特克(Robert Turk)认为26岁的朱海洋个性太危险，有与社会
永久隔离的必要。据美国《世界日报》报道，特克说，朱海洋向来自北京的杨欣求爱被
拒，次日居然在大庭广众下把杨欣斩首，这种做法完全没有人性。
在持续两个多小时的宣判听审中，2009年12月已供认触犯一级杀人罪的朱海洋，一直两
眼直视的坐在被告席上。他透过译员，对攻击事件表达“诚摰道歉和最深切忏悔”。
出庭作证的包括一名曾为朱海洋做检查的心理医生，以及朱海洋的一个朋友。检方也透
过译员提出受害人母亲的证词。

真正的New England华人社团，还是在Boston的郊区中。从Lexington
到Concord, Acton，从Sudbury到Newton，Wellesley，Needham，散居
着成万的高收入华裔。他们在社区中的影响还是很大的。比如Lexington
的华人基督教堂，众多的中文学校，以及台湾背景的大波士顿中华
文化协会(GBCCA)，这些都形成团结华裔的纽带。他们组织过很多活动，
也经常在本地宣扬中华文化，比如每逢中国年节（春节，元宵节，中秋
节，端午节等）组织的各式活动，即给华裔一个团结交流的机会，也
给其它族裔了解华人文化提供了条件。
郊区华裔，还组成了众多的文艺社团，从中国舞蹈，合唱，武术，
到民乐。让人高兴的是，前几天波士顿的华人合唱团在北京举行的
国际合唱节中获得了两个奖项。在这么多的专业团体里，作为一个
业余团体，能获得这样的奖励，相当了不起。而且合唱团的成员，
全部是自费拖家带口回到祖国参赛，也让包括国内的各方面人士感到
波士顿的中华儿女对故国文化的热爱。

I checked out several houses in Reading several month ago, price-wise they
are about the same as Burlington and Wakefield. School district is above
average, probably the same level as Burlington, Wakefield, Canton, Needham.
It has commuter rail access to North Station, and is surrounded by I-95 and
I-93. If you work in Stoneham, Winchester, Burlington or Woburn this would
be a great choice in terms of commuting, however if you work further down
south close to downtown you'll expect bumper to bu |

Commuter rail parking is $4/day, zone 2 commuter rail ticket is $151/mon.
If you live farther, it would be more than $200/mon. That means is have to
pay more than $300/month just for commute. |
