都代表一段历史，一段岁月。从殖民时期建军事堡垒抵御外敌，到独立发展时期警方巡

威德炮台
坐落在纽约史坦顿岛海岸线上的威德炮台，始建于1847年至1862年期间，以抵御外
敌入侵纽约湾海峡(Narrows)。威德炮台属于瓦兹沃斯堡(Fort Wadsworth)其中一部分
，是美国最古老的军事据点。这座军事基地直至1994年才被弃用，目前由国家公园服务
局(National Park Service)管理。

发帖数: 1063 | 2 Zion 也去过两次，冬夏各一次。夏天自然是Camping罗，SITE也还好订，只是风太大，
晚上睡觉总觉得帐篷会被风卷走一样。
强烈建议第一次去的时候先去Visitor Center看一下Video，Zion里面的那些山石都有
名字和传说，Video会大概介绍一下它们的来历啊啥的，许多都跟摩门教有关。Zion
National Park里面是一条狭长的山谷，冬天可以自己开车进去，夏天只能坐shuttle
bus，除非订了里面的Lodge。Emerald Pools Trails可以走一走。我们走进去的时候突
然狂下暴雨，于是在一块大石头下躲了20几分钟，然后走到上面的时候就听见轰隆轰隆
万马奔腾的声音，不知为何物。其间跨过一条小溪，走到upper trail的最顶端，见到
了几个瀑布。那瀑布之水黝黑浑浊，夹带着一股阴沟的气味。待我们往回走过先前那条
小溪时，它已经摇身变成了一条湍急的大河！这是刚才下暴雨的水从山顶倾泻而下！汹
涌的河水让对岸的游客望而却步，我们也被困在了山中！好在暴雨下的猛归猛，但并不
持久。又等了20几分钟，河流渐小，我等推了几块大石头进去垫脚，拄着干树枝做拐杖

biking commute. There are lots of safety tips.
When cars approaching from behind, try to stay far right if the shoulder
is wide or you have bike lane. HOWEVER, If the road is narrow, try to stay
IN THE MIDDLE of the road, block the traffic (assuming the traffic is 25 -
30MPH)! This is safer than blindly stay far right all the time because
when the road is so narrow, it is not safe for a car to pass you. |

几年前曾经去过Antelope Canyon, 那时候纯粹是旅游，只带一个小Nex，轻松自在，很
喜欢羚羊谷的texture，但是各种因素也没有认真的静心拍摄。
最近已经定下计划再去一次羚羊谷，这次打算认真点拍，计划去upper and lower
Antelope Canyon, 当然行程还去其他地方，包括Zion/the narrows, Big Bend, Grand
canyon, Arches 等地。
羚羊谷很打沙尘，只能一个镜头，现在有点纠结是用 24-70 还是 17-35？另外除了
D800，带一个6x6中幅+黑白 （只有标头）是否合适？
Antelope Canyon是个大家都拍的地方，不过的确喜欢那里的岩石纹理和光线。这里拍
风景的牛人很多，请大家给给建议。

周日下午回程，晚上九点半到家，不耽误第二天上半。
具体行程待定，但主要就是看看火山，走走山路看看海什么的。
可是一个女生，不太敢单独去hiking。开车倒是不怕的。

Beijing. There was a super nice long trad line following a crack and they
added 18 new sports routes around on the dolomite faces. When we were
climbing the warm up routes, two brand new routes were being bolted not far

根本不敢下去。
就改去了zion的the narrows。90度在溪水里走，舒服得不行。

I like 1130 better than 2130.
For Lz's mileage, I would suggest to run on neutral shoe to build up muscles
. I wouldn't use any of the "super cushioning" type. For instance, I prefer
Asics Cumulus over Nimbus. So my recommendation is Asics Cumulus / Mizuno
Wave rider( if you have narrow foot, Mizuno tends to run narrower) , you can
also use Asics 1130/1140.
I am switching from stability shoe to neuteral shoe, Cumulus seems to work
very well. My problem is I have 3 new pairs of 2130 |

除了rose bowl附近的3迈，大部分路面都是在有沙石的trial上，很容易崴脚。

话说Asics真搞笑，这个lyte33就是把那些花哨的科技都去掉，反而做的不错（除了窄

claimed as a neutral shoe, PureConnect provides quite a lot of arch support
which makes the mid-foot area feels narrow.
Generally it is not a minimal shoe, but is quite light. It kind of
encourages mid-foot strike rather than forefoot strike. It feels different
to many lightweight shoes, but actually pretty comfortable once you get used
to it. I like switching to PureConnect occasionally while running in other

5.have the most chanllenging in-bound terrain in the woods I have seen in CO
(huge rocks, narrow steeps around 45 degree, fresh powder in narrow woods..

accessable by mott chair.
if take mott chair, get into gate 5 and traverse right. there is a chute
looks skiable from top but with a rope with a sign hanging on a rope in the
air saying "cliff" since it finally narrows down to a very steep, narrow,
and rocky session. it was not skiable or even down climbable before the
storm. I saw a lot of ski marks walking back from this chute/cliff. |
