根据我得经验,10nm的话做cnt催化太大了点,除非多壁,但是多壁管没啥意思。可以
考虑做nanoparticle-nanotube composite,在solar cell方面的应用,这样你找工作也
可以找solar cell公司。

在审一个稿子,关于multi-wall carbon nanotubes。第一张图里,C是acid treat后的
MWCNT,作者说bending walls are clearly observed during acid treatment.我实在
看不出来哪里来的bending。那些黑团是acid treat之后tubes degrade的结果吧? 这
是个resubmitted的稿子。第一稿里作者也是这么说,见第二张图,A里面也是有arrow
指着bending,俺外行,谁给我解释一下?

(2) Photodetectors for communication and imaging

物理科班出身, 从研究生开始就一直在做器件物理和工艺方面的研究,主要是基于新材
料,比如Organic semiconductors, carbon nanotube, graphene, DNA啥的。
器件方面,用新材料做 transistor 和 diode等,做单个器件物理性质的研究。
期间自己一个人从电路设计,到 layout 到 processes做了个遍,当然只是基本单元,
比如 inverter, OR。
拿到博士学位以后,做了一年visiting researcher, 开始搞e-beam lithography 和
mesophysics,研究10-20 nm 尺寸的器件。
现在有点厌倦做学术了,觉得这些有机的新材料都不可能取代Si的位置,向往工业界去
,有没有公司需要我这种做低层次的研究的?我这种背景靠谱吗?

我不知道
现在看来半导体产业在美国是趋势不好,萎缩ing
不过也有人说nanomaterial有一些上升的趋势,因为有一些小的做graphene,carbon
nanotube,led,solar cell之类的小公司冒出来
所以长远角度看我也不知道呢,如果生物,材料,化学类有重大突破了(比如有机光电
材料的效率超过Si,Ge类了?不过从现在的数据来看,就算有可能的话也还早着呢,没个
三五十年不大可能啊。不过也不排除如果多冒出几个tobin marks,zhenan bao这种大牛
,也许科技也能飞速前进?lol),也许就该轮到我们发财了?lol
不过就你个人而言,我觉得还是不要做MSE了吧,把宝压在不确定的行业上不明智啊

呵呵,学校里那点规模算啥啊。n年前国内大学就自己把cvd改成mocvd用着了。烧炉子
真正花钱的地方不只是买炉子,耗材,维护,衬底加起来不比炉子价格低。花那么多钱
就为了发几篇paper?
国内现在搞LED烧炉子规模也不小了,还是从台湾疯狂的挖人,给的薪水是台湾本土的3
-6倍,每个月还报销一张回家机票,为啥呢?对公司来说,production是王道。yield
和process capability这种东西不是一天两天就能搞出来的。这方面台湾是老大。美国
的公司也干不过台湾的。但是美国公司好处是技术革新快,大佬公司的总部都在这里,
本土还是有优势的。当然,以后三星把他们全干倒了格局就不一样了。不过三星一统江
湖对国内也没帮助,人家三星自带炉子,产销一条龙。
现在GaAs还活着是因为手机市场,不过总有一天要死在silicon on sapphire手上。
nitride前景还是不明朗,泡泡还能吹几天。再过两年,复合半导体要是真的让位
graphene,carbon nanotube之类的东西,那炉子更没用了。
晶体生长理论已经非常成熟了,光研究生长本身是玩不出花样的了。
