发帖数: 26 | 1 我是2010年考过的EA。如果你大概了解过就知道这是专门做税的。其实在中小firm里面
做的话，这个牌照还是挺有用的，可以直接代表客户去跟IRS打交道，在IRS跟前有跟
CPA牌照和Attorney牌照一样的功效。考试难度一般（如果你已经在做税的话），CPE要
求也不高。但毕竟一分价钱一分货，这个牌照的知名度实在太低了，个人认为只能是对
CPA的点缀。如果实在不想碰CPA，但又有钱有时间，建议起码念一个MST就是税法硕士
。很多税务论坛的授课人就是MST, EA.进industry基本没用，还不如MST. |

发帖数: 26 | 2 EA单干或者做合伙人的确收入不错，但我接触到的大多都是在行内打滚多年的了。就像
会计一样，干税的也是越老越吃香。我也曾在小firm工作了四年多。原来的大老板和两
名资深的员工都是EA,我才接触到这个designation。当时我是firm里年纪最小，资历最
浅的员工，但我又希望可以多接触各种状况，掂量了一下以后觉得EA比CPA好考，就考
了。后来想跳槽的时候，发现CPA designation还是一个瓶颈，特别是去工业界的话，
没有CPA很难找到有质的飞跃的职位。还有一个难忘的细节是，有不少联系我们大老板
的人，都以为他是CPA（因为别的partner跟资深员工都是CPA)。我也打听到老板是因为
一直考不过CPA才考EA的。个人觉得如果单干，要被市场认可，还是得要CPA
designation，除非你已经在客户里有不错的口碑。 至于MST要不要，这是仁者见仁。
我接触过的中小firm里面的CPA偏好选MST作为第二designation;因为在一般中小firm，
audit单一般不会接很多，个税和中小企业税是主攻。我个人觉得用MST去应聘，是能上

level给MST的薪水最高是7W。一样的经验，拿MSA跟MST去四大做tax，起薪是有差的，

发帖数: 61 | 5 出国前关于选校我就在版上咨询过大家，现在来美国半年了，又有了些新的体会和疑问
，希望能得到大家的解答。
我现在在南加州读会计，方向是financial reporting，但是经过一学期的学习和参加
各种social event，我觉得tax更适合自己。但是我们学校没有MST，只是在MSA下面有
明细方向。如果为了申请tax工作，是否需要MST，还是只要修过一些tax课程就可以了
呢？
因为所说的课程安排原因和家庭原因，我最近在考虑是否要重新申请。虽然我们学校也
是当地四大target school，但是连续几年只有一个国际生（美本）拿到了四大的offer
，基本没有人通过校招去湾区四大的。如果想去湾区求职，只能等到毕业后relocation
，就错过了四大校招和别的机会。
那么已经读了一个学期，重新申请SJSU或者GGU是否可行呢？我看到这两个学校都有MST
项目。希望有了解这两个学校的前辈多多指教哈！ |

depth as MST, but i've seen lots of MSA students got hired as tax staff from
big4, national & regional firms.
You mentioned that you like to do tax, if i were you, i would do a MST,
because any tax positions at firms & private companies prefer MST.
Oh, and when it comes to tax, i see myself have more advantage over my co-
workers who hold a MSA. |
