一般来说12-15岁以后再学某种外语，跟母语是会有显著差别的。这个阶段称为
critical period (具体岁数上有点争议）。但既然说“一般”，就是有例外。有的人
就是过了30岁50岁再学外语，也学得跟母语者差不多好，但是确实是极少数。
另外所谓的“赶不上母语”，最明显的体现是在语音发音上。在句法上的差异可能不
明显，或者 过了 critical period 很多人也可以达到接近母语的水平的。这里面有很
多问题，比如 motivation. 学外语一般学到可以交流就够了，作为成年人你就没动力
再学了。这不等于你能力上真的学不会，所以不是“无论如何”。 有人会觉得只要你
有足够的motivation 你可以达到母语者水平的 （语音除外）。 当然这么有
motivation 的人确实比较少，所以能达到母语水平的人也比较少。
到底能不能完全跟母语者完全一样，这个问题目前无解吧。但是已经争论了好几十年
了，已经没有争头了。

英文叫motivational fit，是我们公司面试后consensus meeting一个很重要的rating
，在某种程度上可以左右EL的hiring decision。也就是说，2个人选，如果A其他方面
比B弱一点，但
这项比B强最后胜出的可能性更大。Motivational fit大体可以分为两方面，第一是看
你的背景和工作是否match，第二是看你对这份工作有多主动，有多大诚意。对于EL来
说，80%的人在第一点上没法突出自己，所以也就意味着第二点格外重要。

Either self-motivation or passion will make you diligent
effort = diligence x time
The more diligent you are, the less time you spend to accumulate your
effort to achieve your goal
accomplishment = effort x talent
With the same amount of effort, more talents lead to higher accomplishment
fulfillment = accomplishment x passion
Same accomplishment brings more fulfillment to people with more passion

主席是motivated by对中国人民的爱，一辈子都是为了民族的独立，尊严和自由在战斗
和牺牲。主席去世了，没有给子女留下什么家产，留下的是其为人民服务，为有牺牲多
奇志，敢叫日月换新天的思想和精神。
笑忠(还有丫的partner, 工贼）是motivated by 对中国人民的恨, or at least treat
them as an annoyance to their goal of 先富。
不然没法解释刘工贼和邓笑忠的一些古怪作为。比如“剥削有功“， “造船不如买船
，买不如租“，”来料加工，两头在外“。
最恶毒的无过于邓癌的计划杀婴。 人要生个娃, 老天爷给的权力, 邓癌的计生办就去
