townhome因为离小孩上学很近。可是不知道这个小区到底怎么样？中国人多吗？我看附
近都是townhouse 和 apartment，是不是大部分都是租房子的？那里治安情况如何？还
有买东西和shopping方便吗？诚心请教，谢谢大家！ |

发帖数: 98 | 2 隔音跟房子建筑商有很大关系。Custom-built房子隔音好但那也贵啊。Montemar 好像
是Baldwin Builders 1994年建的，质量中等吧。那一带还比较安静的,住家FAMILY居多
。加州的房子Stucco 和 plank wood 墙， 和东部的砖墙结构还真不能比。 |

发帖数: 42 | 4 想在Carmel Valley中心区买个townhuouse，象Montemar, Palamo, Antereas一类的社
区。
优点是：小学中学高中走路都可以上学，各种设施方便，周围华人多。偶看的一个房子
有相对封闭的厨房，木地板，通风好，外置式抽油烟机都是装好的。
缺点是：附近人口相对密集，房子每平方尺价钱贵，偶看的一个房子两边都有邻居而且
离开Carmel Country Road只隔开一栋房子。
请有经验的朋友谈谈在那一带买房的利弊，谢谢!!! |

这一片治安都挺好的。
买东西蛮方便，往南有Vons, postoffice, Ace hardware, car rental,
Souplantation, papa John's, Inside Vons they have Jamba Juice, Panda Express
, Starbucks.
往西去有图书馆， Ralphs, Barn & Noble, McDonalds, Panda Express, GameStop,
FedEx... 当然还有很多高档的馆子，电影院.
不过没有HomeDepot, Target :)
买和租的在这边基本都为了孩子上学，没太大区别，很多人买了住五六年，孩子高中毕
业再卖掉。 |

发帖数: 98 | 12 小学的排名并不重要，Carmel Creek and Solana Pacific (5th&6th Grade)在Carmel
Valley应该是中上的。
中学和高中当然是目前最好的。
最大的优势是所有学校都是Walking Distance。 图书馆也是。
查查Crime Map http://www.crimemapping.com/和其他地区比较一下对CV的安全您会有一个客观的概念。 |

发帖数: 356 | 14 不太懂，看了一下，好像Stucco和Brick在美国的房子里基本都是siding，不是承重的
结构。只知道brick比Vinyl好，Stucco就不知道了。
是指Stucco的隔音隔热效果都不如brick吗，还是内墙的材料也有区别？谢谢！ |
