dont even consider it on these two courses, since they are links style, ie,
british open style. you dont want to tee your ball high, and let wind blow
it away.
the monarch course was named Tony Lema, who won british open in 1964, and
resident in bayarea.

发帖数: 815 | 8 Monarch Bay Tony Lema golf course. It has a rating 127. Totally self
destructed yesterday. So now I'll need some beginner-friendly-and-self-
esteem-boost course in Bay Area. I wonder if I'm cut out for 18-hole at this
point.
And trust me, it is bad. On the bright side, I did record my first par by
sinking a 20-foot putt and closed out the front 9 with 1 par and 2 bogey.
But damn, back 9 ... I'd rather pretend it did not happen. |

green fee $25.
一开始几个顺风洞 还一切正常
到了顶风,侧风就全变了,
球冲左边起的，飞到GREEN上空，活生生被左边来的侧风吹走
just when you get frustrated, and want to give up, it comes to the shortest
hole #10 on the course, 顺风, almost everyone in the group landed on the
green. my ball was the closest one to the hole, less than 4 feet, but i
missed the putt.
next hole #11 par4, tee shot was good, actually, very good, longest in the

i havent played there, but i was told it is not playable without cart.
my recent few (4) rounds, (poppy rige, monarch, halfmoon, metro), avg $54.5
per round, all with cart though

tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.8 and it has a slope rating

it is a relative short course, 3 par4 and 6 par3
but you get to use almost all your weapons, which is good for practice.
last time i played there, the marshal did me a favor, told me that i can
play two 9 hole with one 9 hole price. so i end up playing the same course
twice
break 70 //kaka (par 60)
the course almost got everyting, water, hazard, bunker, tree, wind...
slightly elevated green. and short par4 always lure you with eagle attempt.

times and am generally 8-12 over par (par 32). Now, I really need to hone my
power game to hang with the big boys. |

better check your score before you say it out loud. //haha
that course is much easier than fremont park.

there is only two holes par 3 (#6, #8) could be called easy hole, but with
wind blow, they could become very hard as well.
given there are water/hazardous everywhere from all other holes, it is not
that easy to make a birdie from #2,#4,#5,#7,#9, you need at least two to get
on the green.
and #3 is 157 yards par3 over water and with bunker at other side of water,
the only way to make a birdie is to land on green which is not easy from 157
yards out.

par. Save par and do not put myself in bad position. That's all.

other muni courses around the bay.
for me par is birdie.
as i said before, if you can do over par +8 from fremont,
+8 * 2 + 72 = 88
shoulbe easily break 100. |

The problem with my game is that the longest club I can hit is my 4 hybrid,
which carries maybe 190 yards from the tee. And I just don't have any power
game. I'm practicing my wood now. |

i used all my driver, 3wood, 5wood, hybrid on that course, and i still think
it is hard course. well, you only carry 4H, can easily get +8

anytime you carry 190 yard with club other than driver, that's very decent
power.
you should have overshoot a lot of greens. even 200 yard long
par3.

didn't get any birdies from my last two rounds, keeping bouncing back and
forth between bogie to par. I bet, sooner or later, you can drive the ball
250 yards or more off the tee.

many of them are dog-legs with hazards.
I played couple times in Fremont with Medson. Medson's short game is like
pro that you guys will be amazed and his consistence is fabulous . I learned
a very useful drill of chipping from him
hope someday we can join you guys for 18 holes.

发帖数: 724 | 27 来弯曲后球一直打的不多.一年了,总共只打了9场,但其中4场是在这打的,应该算是我的
HOME COURT吧.球场在BAY边上,LINK STYLE.这里的特点是非常OPEN,相对FLAT,不容易丢
球;但风很大,尤其是下午到傍晚.顶风的洞350的洞都得按400大.今天跟两个香港MM,还
有一位老先生拼组.我打黄T, 6567 YARD.前九感觉很好,觉得SWING TOTALLY UNDER
CONTROL.DRIVER基本都很直,没上球道的也不是BAD MISS.打完前半场9洞,40杆.
后九风起来了,打的特别辛苦,进3次沙坑. 打了好几个DOUBLE,有一个五杆洞打顶风,
PENALTY 加沙坑,最终那洞加4.后九48收场.
最后成绩88,算是我来弯曲打的最好成绩.6 GIR, 8 fairway, 36 putt.
最高兴的是终于找到的SWING的感觉,,以前总
是在RANGE上打的很好,但一上场就找不着北了,但今天终于可以将DRIVING RANGE上的体
会应用到场上.特次发文纪念. |

Fairway，36推也很好。我以前也是一年打个十场球，很久都是在高80，低90折腾，后
来开始打得比较多。打得多，总会有几场，状态好的，成绩满意的。 |

昨天天气不错,跑到MONARCH BAY一个人打TWIGHTLIGHT. 1点中的TEE TIME,但我不到12
点就到了,因为这段时间开球的人少,我想看有没有机会早点上场.CHECK IN完了往TEE
BOX一看果然一个人没有,赶快跑去开球.一路没有人,直到地四洞才追上前面一组,
FOURSOME.但是前面没有让我地意思,所以只好SLOW DOWN下来,同时打两个球,然后还有
时间看看微信.到了第九洞(NO1 HANDICAP, 400YARD))开了两个球,差不多距离.过去时
候发现11洞有个GAP,可以跳过前面两组慢的,于是我就收起一个球,准备快点打完好跳洞
.当时在LIGHT ROUGH里,因为冬天了,球场的CONDITION比上次来这里(2月前)差了不少.
ROUGH也不是很难打.LASER显示179YARD,用5铁,准备打到附近,CHIP AND PUTT.因为上
一洞的铁干打的不好,所以告诉自己别多想,放松.结果随手一挥打了一个很漂亮的DRAW,
直接上了GREEN,奔PIN冲去.当我开车快到GREEN时,没有看到球在GREEN上,当时觉得有可
