Of course it depends on your employer. It is usually 6-8 weeks.
If you use paid materinty leave, in terms of sick leave sometimes, your
salary during this period is from the division you work for (or overhead),
not from the funding agency. So you don't need to worry about the funding.
But you'd better ask your PI.

another. I think your parents are fine - 2 momths for a strict feed based
on time schedule is a little too early; not bathing everyday is not a big
deal either. My view is that whoever takes care of the baby has 100% say of
how to do that - as long as there's no fundemental issue - e.g. feeding a 2
month old an egg yolk or something like that. |
