，几乎是专门用来描述儒家文化国家的，如中韩日。
不过至少从语义来说， 孝顺这个词的中文和英文解释并无二致。但是说起“谦虚（
modesty），中文和英文的理解就差了十万八千里了。
比如说，我们从小就接受要“谦虚谨慎”的教育，谦虚是美德。这也是几千年来的中国
文化了，从来都是教人别太张扬了，因为有得就有失，要和谐就要懂得平衡，特别是中
国人的那种长期历史观，就决定了要懂得收放。这也是中国人的智慧。
所以说，中国社会的稳定，在很大程度上也是靠这种自我克制来维护的。比如说，你已
经是高官巨富了，已经是功成名就了，已经得到了很多，那么就要在别的方面特别收敛
，说话办事要考虑到不如你的那些卢瑟们的感受，不要骄横跋扈，否则就刚而易折，容
易栽跟头。
比如说周恩来就是这样，越是对待级别比自己低的同志，就越是说话客气礼貌。以前本

是昨天我不小心看到了一篇新闻文章，才惊讶的发现其实最早做出来的，有可能是
Wayne State University的潘卓华。虽然他的投稿时间和Deisseroth的类似，但是因为
他是一个没有什么名气的学者，而且他的文章包装得不对，所以他的文章被百般耽误，
最后比Deisseroth的晚了一年才发表。
在2004年底潘就做出了和Deisseroth几乎一样的文章，除了用的细胞略微不同：他做的
神经细胞是从视网膜分离的，而Deisseroth 做的神经细胞是从大脑分离的。然后他把
文章陆续投向Nature, Nature Neuroscience,Journal of Neuroscience，却统统遭到

Announcing the award in Stockholm, the Swedish Academy said that Ms. Munro,
82, who has written 14 story collections, was a “master of the contemporary
