1998年,我怀着文青梦,心心念念要考某大陆名校的英语语言文学系(原来打算考历史
系和文科基地班,老师父母劝阻,理由是将来就业会成问题,遂放弃),也考进了,十
年后还留在系里,求到份教职。十五年过去,山山水水看得渐渐清晰。
要交待一句,我在同一家大学的英文系,从本科念到博士,成绩始终不好不坏。留校后
,职业发展则是同辈中比较落后的。所以,体制内,我不能算既得利益派,心怀怨望,
发发牢骚很正常。而且,我素来偏激,年纪不小,依旧出言轻狂。尊敬的读者请务必注
意:在主流价值日渐遭 到怀疑的时代,牢骚、轻狂不一定是对的,需要批评看待。
本学期开学时,开明的领导组织我们开会,畅议教学改革的方向与步骤,当时我有一点

直到20世纪末,后现代派(Post-modernist)才算对达尔文有了正确的了解:生命
既无有智慧的原因(自然代替超自然),也无有意义的目的。当然,正解和误解的达尔
文及演化论都违反圣经。法国生物学者、社会主义者、诺贝尔奖得主JacquesMonod说得
更坦率诚实:“细胞是机器,动物是机器,人也是机器。”生物进化(变化)的机制就
是细胞突变,所以,“人一定要明白,他的出现,只是偶然”,没有“目的、意义、价
值、责任、权利、律法、道德”等(ChanceandNecessity)。Monod认为唯一可作的,
是追求客观科学知识。Monod是在自打嘴巴,因他自己断言,任何东西,包括科学,都
没有价值、目的及意义。罗素则说,人在绝望中,要"不放弃"(unyieldingdespair)
。这也是胡说。既无希望,不放弃什么呢?不过我们不能指望无神论提供任何答案。我

近三十多年来,中国的教会同世界的教会一样的,都存在着信仰方面的冲突,这种
冲突是发生在‘基要派’“Fundamentalist”与‘现代派’“Modernist”之间的。‘
基要派’是信仰基本要道的,他们信圣经是神所默示的,信圣经中所记载的:基督藉童
女降生,在世上传道的时候行了许多神迹奇事,在各各他山上为人舍命流血,成就了救
赎的大工,死后三日身体复活,出了坟墓,四十日以后被接升天,坐在神的右边,将来
还要再来到地上,接他的门徒,使他们复活、改变,得着属灵的、不死的身体,与他自
己复活后的荣耀身体相似,以后在地上施行审判,最后建立他的天国。‘现代派’却对
这些要道都表示不信,但他们不明说他们不信,却用一种模糊不清、似是而非的解释,
来讲解这些要道。他们说他们并非不信这些要道,他们也信,不过他们的解释与‘基要
派’的解释不同而已。
现在我们从吴耀宗君所着的‘黑暗与光明’一书中引出一段来,足以说明‘基要派
’与‘现代派’中间的分歧!
