my opinion is that mf perform better in smooth bullish mkt since they search
value.
in volatile mkt, big mf can hardly turnover in time, and the operation cost
beats everything.
and never forget most 401K funds have front load and deferred charges.
they have "back doors" to get involved in the 401K so it's normal they
perform worse than normal popular mf.

就可以骗1年几十万的salary.
mf 一年1.5%的fee, 他那里再截流1%. 别说这10年index performance不如cd,
光他们的fee 10年下来就是30%了.
金融这个行当早就烂透了, 早该崩溃了. 整个从业体系都是吸commission & operating
cost的血.

because of QE expectation. So it looks like that under no circumstance, mkt
will head south.
However, after BOE adds QE and ECB lower interest rate, gold and silver
dropped, which is counterintuitive. Earning will be bad for sure, but since
beating estimate is more important, so nobody know what will happen in the
next couple of weeks.

good. You can buy a lot of stuff, vege and fish. There is another Asian mkt in
downtown newport news (along Jefferson Ave). Agree with you that there is no

小弟刚刚结束第一年MBA，正要求选方向，确定以后下一年就要主修那个方向的课
了（2、3门core + 4门专业选修）。目前正在MKT和FIN两个方向之间犹豫。
我在国内是做marketing的，在公司发展遇到瓶颈申请学校出来，对这个领域一直
挺有兴趣。申请的时候是MKT方向，那时计划是想在毕业后有一些美国的工作经验，最
好能进入咨询公司。这段时间在找intern，形势非常差，而且几次面试都是进入到最后
要了美国学生，感觉中国人在这做marketing语言太成问题了，虽然我还算比较有自信
的，但是仍然感觉得到这是个挺大的障碍。选择fincance的原因一是我大学工科背景，
比较有基础；二来个人也比较感兴趣；三也最重要的，相对好在这边找工作。
所以，如果是想以能找到工作为优先，我是不是该转成Finance？如果转的话是
corporate还是investment更好？请大家给些意见，多谢多谢了！ |

I don't personally thinking changing the rule midst a play is good for the
mkt in general, and HK in particular. What the HKMA can do is to 1) leave
the mkt alone, or 2) intervene in a smart way in the open market, IFF they
have to intervene (again, I don't think they have to).
I am not sure if there is moral hazard in the LTCM case: the investors
(in LTCM) are not bailed out: their investment is marked to market as of
last Thursday, and the partners at LTCM were basically totally wiped out

闲来无事，把马工硅工常见公司用人均市值算了算（Mkt cap/# of employees）。员工
人数来自维基，Mkt cap来自当前市值。没算UAP这类没上市的。好像只有亚麻不准，因
为员工22万有可能把物流算进来了。
两个问题：
a) 这种算法准吗？趋势看，马工比硅工确实强很多。不过硅工内比较，顶级硅工公司
Intel也不咋地啊。拿到Intel和Sandisk offer，没人选择后者吧。是不是哪里算错鸟
？ MS人均市值挺高的呀，为毛大家都bs去那里呢？
b) 排名高低与工资水平直接挂钩么？换句话问，跳槽有往低处跳的吗？
为毛FPGA公司人均市值那么高，EDA那么低？相差6倍呢？员工薪水能差6倍吗？
