To bid or not to bid here is a matter of total tricks. Since pd
didn't raise your clubs, his two suiters are probably Hearts and Dimonds. It's
reasonable to assuem opps have 9 spades and your side
has 8 or 9 diamonds. That gives a total tricks 17 or 18.
Suppose they can make 4S, that means 5DX can take 7 or 8 tricks in
your side. off 3 is not bad, but off 4 is no good at all.
Which way you should go? Because the misfit in sidesuit(hearts) and
you have only 3 trumps, you should make a neg |

should be 2C, not 1H. Your partner was clearly wrong here.
Still, this hand looks like quite a misfit hand, partner denies 3
hearts support and 4 clubs. It would be an interesting problem for
a bidding panel. I think 4C is fine. at least it shows your shape and
your value. 5C would be possible if pd holds:
Sxxx Hx DAKJxxx CAQx. 5C would have good play, 6C would be marginal
for this hand.

usually, bid over WEAK 1NT need to promise constructive value,
and this hand does have it.
The weakness is short spades, i.e.
may be outbid(opps have spades) or misfit(pd has spades), but it's

slam. But even with this given misfit hand, it is not hopeless. If spades
are 3-3, you don't need DA on side.

so-so 15 and misfit with partner, so it is not much of underbid. The
problem of 2C is, say partner bids a neutral 2D, you don't really know what
to do (probably pass). Also, 2C may result missing heart fit. When I bid 1NT
, if partner has 4 hearts, he can bid a non-forcing 2H, I can raise to show
a super-max. The problem of 1NT is that, partner thinks I have at least 2

spades and bad hands (Also, you may easily miss some cold slams in D or H).
2D would usually lead to reasonable games and slams, but may lead to some 5-
1 or 5-0 fit 2D and may miss some really nice H partials (and games
sometimes)... 2C may miss the most likely making contract of 1NT in a
seemingly misfit hand. So it's bad in both MP and IMP...

是某集中一个一直寻觅真爱，但却总是找到渣男的女主，终于找到了一个真正爱她，而
不是整天精虫上脑的帅哥。历经一番分分合合的磨难后，两人终于在屋顶天台上再次相
遇，而正当男主深情的将女主揽入怀中，警察的一发子弹却射入了男主的后背，男主慢
慢倒下，现出了原型。原来这个帅哥本是一只猩猩，被怪冰雹击中之后拥有了超自然能
