WASHINGTON — Americans clearly want Washington to solve its looming budget
crisis, and they clearly reject almost every option to do that, according to
a new McClatchy-Marist Poll.
The only option that voters endorse, by a ratio of 3-to-2, is to raise taxes
on the wealthy.

A majority of Americans favor tax cuts for all, including the wealthy,
according to a new poll.
The McClatchy-Marist poll found that 52 percent of registered voters want
all of the Bush tax cuts extended, including those for incomes above $250,
000; 43 percent just want cuts extended for incomes below $250,000.
One surprise in the poll was that young voters ages 18-29 favored tax cuts
