对北京。人与城市之间也会有Chemistry, 彷如人与人之间的Chemistry一样。有的城市
会让你一见倾心，而有的会让你慌不迭的想逃离。当我无法忍受那个南方小镇的闭塞，
决定逃向Milwaukee的时候，我并不知道等待我的是什么。那个时候，我对Milwaukee的
了解，和我爸爸在一本美国地图集上得到的信息一样，Milwaukee是美国第十七大城市
，那里很冷，仅此而已。
2000年12月17日晚11点多，我乘坐的飞机降落在Milwaukee机场。感谢好心的同学B，那
么晚了还肯去接我。从机场到临时住处的路上，都是白茫茫一片，据说那一年的雪特别
大。晚上，什么也都看不真切，等天亮了，从窗户看出去，外面银装素裹，一栋栋别致
的小房子都被包裹在白雪中，加上圣诞将临家家户户门前的装饰，一切恍如童话一般。
那个时候，才隐隐明白，为什么西方人会喜欢过白色的圣诞节，也是那个时候，才发现
卡片上那些童话般的小房子原来在现实中是真真切切的存在着。那样的风景，在美国，

team季票的？还不是大部分看电视。有多少人到现场看过一次球？有多少人买过NBA相
关产品？Yi背后的市场是国内，yi只要打球好看，能赢几场球，国人就可以high了，根
本没人在乎yi在哪个城市。
有一次Yao来Milwaukee打球，跑去看了一场，场上状况基本是华人跟yao加油，还有拿
国旗的，全场给雄鹿加油。象大学运动会，小系和大系对着干似的。现场看yao打球真
是不爽，yi目前的水平和yao还没法比，如果现场真刀真枪，不见得比yao好看。以后
yao再来，我们哥几个再也不去看了。
最让人烦的就是拿milwaukee的亚裔人数说事，怎么不看看milwaukee downtown/
milwaukee county大部分都是黑人区/穷人区，有钱的华人大部分都不在milwaukee
county。看看southeast wisconsin有什么大型企业，有多少大学，再看看有多少华人
。就说GE的华人，这些人都有钱，你就算有20％的人去看球，也比有上万人，只有1％
的人愿意花钱抢点吧。全美有几个城市有nba |

一直都以为自己在哪里都是个过客，除了出生和长大的地方自己不能选择，在有了选择
之后在哪里都不会呆得太久。即便是这样，还是在两个地方呆了很久，北京和
Milwaukee, 两个我都曾经深爱的城市。离开北京的时候，曾经列了一个长长的单子准
备写写关于北京的种种，可惜出国后一直没有静下心来写，原来的感觉渐渐都忘却的差
不多了，即便故地重游，必也是物非人非，无法回复当年的心境。今天看到有人关于写
写熟悉的城市的提议，不禁心下一动，也许刚好是一个契机，为何不写写Milwaukee呢
？离开未久，一切的记忆都是新鲜的。想起女友W回国后对自己说，真是遗憾当时没有
记录下什么东西，现在什么都想不起来了，我们常去买菜的那家店要什么名字来着？写
下来，自己将来不就不会有同样的遗憾了么？所以我决定为自己和朋友写一篇琐碎的
Milwaukee 回忆录，记录过去生活的点点滴滴。念头一起，思绪便飘回了过去，一发不

Milwaukee downtown只要15分钟车程。而Concordia University附近选择比较少。就想

因为Milwaukee真的没甚么好玩的(摊手)
如果你没车 连Milwaukee的自然景观都没办法享受(除了湖)
有summerfest 但是顾名思义只在夏天 冬天基本上不太有这种活动(太冷了)
Mayfair Mall就是很一般的Mall 不会让你有不去很遗憾的感觉
County Zoo我觉得还不错 但是冬天去你看不到啥动物
(冬天去过 花了门票钱 逛了一圈只看到温室内的长颈鹿= =)
中餐...有车的话108st和national ave路口附近有一家Fortune(食为先)
以Milwaukee我吃过的中餐厅来说 还算可以接受
没车的话...我不知道你住哪 没办法给你意见= =
华人组织...这里基本上没甚么华人啊XD
听说UWM附近有个中文教会 不过本身没参与 没办法给你建议~ |

食为先有两家,都在108街上,俩家是同一个老板,好像老板娘常驻南边的那家吧,

北边的那家开的早,一般叫老fortune,地方较小,但是去的人很多.跑堂的大叔在那里呆了
可能快十多年了,经验老道,menu分两个版本,对中国人和对老美的.你别进去装大头说英
文了,给你个美式中餐的menu你就别说我推荐错了.我比较喜欢吃贵妃鸡和八珍鸭,牛腩
煲也不错.在北京楼崛起之前,这里被很多老中国人认为是milwaukee最好的中餐馆.
南fortune新开的,我不太喜欢,手比较黑,常有些莫名其妙的小手段,很恶心.有火锅,一个
人好像快20多30的样子,菜不多,调料居然就一碗不知哪来的sauce,没有麻酱的影子.再
者我第二次去点了个鱼,算帐给我算20多,我问价格,老板娘出面拿铅笔 |

送LD去，从Milwaukee到Chicago Midway机场，去的时候，延94号公路一直可以开到
Chicago的downtown，然后换I55，向南。回来的时候，上I55南，换294北，再上94号。
感受：IL的这个toll road很变态，从milwaukee去chicago，必经94，居然收费（
oneway，1+1.5）！294在大规模装修，居然也收费（0.3+0.4）！！
去Midway，最好还是走294，周六从94downtwon circle走，居然堵车！而且没有事故，
就是车太多！！ |

我们上周末专们开了7个钟头的车去milwaukee找房子了。你看看我们租的房子，觉得可
以的话，打电话去问问吧。
房子在shorewood，milwaukee river东边的一个小区。名字叫estabrook homes.据说那
边很安全，很多uwm的faculty住那里。
地址是4544 wilson dr,shorewood 53211
我对那个小区挺满意，房子新，小区环境好，穿过马路就是大大的estabrook park。
小区有免费的室内游泳池和乒乓球室，桌球室，还有一个小小的健身房。2-bedroom房
租$695,除了水费外，其他utilities自负。地下车库大，整洁，一辆车一个月是$25,两
辆车$45。
说起租房子真是烦，在网上做了很多功课，选了几个出来，周末亲自去看了都不好。最
后这个是我很早前在google map上看到的。用street view一步步的看，终于看到了小
区门口的牌子，但是上面的电话号码怎么也看不清。最后搜索小区名才找到了电话。
这个租房公司的manager比较懒，经常不接电话。而且这么大一个公司也没有网站。

车。去GAC的网站上查了一下，要12.35美元，觉得太贵。请问Milwaukee的兄弟姐妹，
从机场到市中心有没有比较便宜的交通？

1。西洋参，在附近哪里能买到价廉物美的西洋参，还是店里和网上几乎一样？
