今天graduate committee开会讨论招生，有一部分资金可以资助faculty去国外宣传 帮
忙 advertise我们系, 我就插话说我们四十几个研究生，只有三个中国来个，east
Asian misrepresented, 我希望得到一部分资助往返机票，帮忙advertise.结果gpd就
说中国学生 historically terrible， 很多 学生 lots of problem. 目前系里面的国
际学生主要是indian 和mexician，我们是化工系，跟我以前读书和 做博后 的 化工系
很不同 。
gpd是刚来的白人女人，full possessor。本硕博都是mit的，从东岸藤校跳到case
western

根据我自己的preference从高到低,我列了以下几条我觉得
还比较重要的:
1. 城市/社区安全
2. 学区好
3. 附近有比较好的医学中心
4. 房价低(50万左右可以买得到安全而且学区不错的SFH)
