目。一看就是到凌晨两三点。越看越揪心。尤其是看到那些有孩子们遗体的照片，总是
忍不住泪水在眼眶里转。
前天有同事们做了research, 发现Mercy Corps 在 Company Match list上。Mercy
Corps 现在有special fund for "China Earthquake"。 而且Mercy Corps从前就和四
川省有扶贫的项目。他们有常驻人员在四川。
公司的Match limit是每人每年$1000, 所以昨天就先donate了$1000 to max out the
match limit. 想想我们离祖国这么远，实在是帮不了什么忙，不能救灾，也不能献血
，也就只有捐些钱了。
$1000其实对工作了的人，不算少，但也不算多。比起山区的灾民，我们在美国的生活
其实很幸运了，平时多节省一点儿不必要的奢侈开支 (最近想买个iphone, 后来想想也
先算了)，$1000可能可以帮助安顿和救助好几个灾民了。

发帖数: 872 | 20 刚才直接打电话去和mercy corp问了, 他们去年5年来的over head是89%, 跟我说话是
做对外发展的部门, 数据很清楚的样子. 然后说不管收到多少钱, 都是直接发给他们中
国的site去用的, 他们现在中国的援助点主要提供的是: 食物, 水, shelter, 和医疗.
她说, 如果钱多了, 用不完了, mercy corp会马上停止接受donation, 那个网上
donate的连接就会被取消. 她说现在绝对是离取消还很远的. 还说钱是immediate到灾
区的, 没有limit, 直到这个program的钱用不了了为止.
同时也打电话去了美国红十字会. 先接的是donation部门,感觉说话很不可靠, 他说100
%的donation, 是去灾区的, 只要我们捐钱的时候写明了是捐中国地震, 他说确实有
overhead, 但是所有自然灾害的program都不会有overhead, overhead是在其他program
扣的. 我不放心, 就让他转了对外关系的部门电话. 这次是个mm, mm说美国红十字会大
概是7-10%的overhead, 中国地震也不例外, |

非常亏. 当然这话不能直接对他们讲,自己明白就好. 找些别的
理由让他们别买东西,直接把钱转过去最好.
另外提醒大家, 一旦他们这个25万美元的上限达到,就不要再
通过这个 mercy corps 来捐, 他们用捐款在这边买美国的东西
