这里我只讨论维基的这个长篇里的一段，这一段是关于阿波罗使用的照相机的胶卷是否
能够在月亮上正常工作的。由于不像地球，月亮没有大气的保护，月亮表面的高低温的
差距和变化很大，具体地说就是差不多低温从-100到高温+100摄氏度的温差。
首先，我必须提醒大家一点，那就是这里提到月亮表面的从-100到高温+100摄氏度的温
差并不是说阿波罗使用的照相机的胶卷也达到了这样的温度，因为胶卷到了-50或+50摄
氏度恐怕就不能正常工作了。当然了，温度只是月亮表面恶劣环境的一部分，还有核辐
射也可以使胶卷曝光。

留学美国，不是一个人的故事能够概括的，何况很多有着辛酸与成功经历的
predecessors早已对这一话题有过充分的阐述。比如，某个女博士用7年时间从某理工
科PhD转到Law School读JD，最后找到理想工作，但却失去了爱情，逝去了青春的故事
；以及某个十万男，拿着滕校学位，经历各种竞争淘汰，拿到华尔街某银行高薪工作后
，发现蛋疼，生不出孩子，老婆吵着要离婚的故事；当然，也还有某高材生，被骗回国
，拿着空头支票，后悔不已，遂跳楼自尽的故事；还有多年前发生在本校的某孤僻天才

流行看法，那么，大致以第二次世界大战为界，人类社会对于“民族融合”的态度有了
一个较大的转变。
“民族融合”观念的历史变迁
二战之前，我们大致可以说人们对于在一个既定的“国家”（state）之内谋求民族一
致性，或曰民族融合的态度是默许乃至支持的。此一时期美国的所谓“民族大熔炉”（
melting pot）的形象化别称，就直接来源于此种态度。抛开黑人奴隶问题不论，来自
欧洲和亚洲的源源不断的移民，先后给美国带来了天主教徒、犹太教徒、非基督徒等不
同于西北欧白人新教徒立国先驱的文化异质性；但是所有这些新来者，都被期望放弃他
们原有的文化特质而接受以所谓“WASP”（白人─盎格鲁─萨克逊-新教徒）文化为主
流的美国文化。而事实上绝大多数的新移民也都主动或被动地顺从了这种期望。这种文
化的融合，对于美利坚民族最终成长为带有明显的欧洲文化色彩、但却全新的民族，具
