5500 (selfpay) for medical expense for pregnancy,delivery and baby medical
care. Also we payed $800 for baby medical insurance. My wife also paid
around $300 for dental insurance.
I came to USA Aug2005, so I need to file 1040NR; my wife came here Aug 2007
as F1. Then we got married.
My question is, can the medical expense $5500 and those baby/dental
insurance be tax returned by 1040NR? If yes, do you know which line I can |

因为疗程可能需要超过半年，想知道
1。是申请B2吗？还是有另外的medical reason的签证？
2。 知道B2一般duration是半年， 就是一年不能超过半年。但是治疗不能半途而废，
不知移民局允不允许延长半年。
3. 如果明示medical reason没有任何好处？是不是只说旅游访问算了? medical
reason好像要很多额外的材料.

查对了最后一张paycheck的YTD数值，确认Sect 125 plan=FSA +medical insurance
premiums，这两部分都是联邦税的pre-tax，但不是NJ的pre-tax，那么是不是意味着NJ
州税里的medical expense可以包括自己付的insurance premium和报销到FSA里的
expense两部分（+未能报入FSA的medical cost和transportation cost）？
NJ州税里的medical expense可以减去AGI 2%然后超出部分作为NJ TAXable income
deduction。 |

OOP out of pocket这个概念比较不清晰吧，FSA所reimburse的部分应该也属于OUT OF
POCKET的。
而且今早想了一下，这样的表述还不够严谨，FSA如果没用光，是不能全部计入的，得
按实际用掉的来算。
所以准确的说法应该是：
NJ tax MEDICAL EXPENSE = health insurance premium paid by you + actually
medical payment from you (no matter whether it is reimbursed by your FSA or
not) + medical transportation cost paid by you. |

simply a desire to do so. Switching to the medical school should not be the
result of your frustration toward your current career. It is doable but very
tough.
1) Pursuing a medical degree from scratches is not very financially
rewarding. If you target only at big money, then forget it. That motivation

form 186?

是那边告知做medical physics resident 如果使用J-1签证，必须是ECFMG sponsored

的单位就是一个老美从秘书转成medical writer。只要你的英文好，做起来应该不难。
尤其是写study相近的CSR.这抄抄，那抄抄，改改结果，就成了一个新的CSR.
被调到medical writing部门当主管了。我想想其实我是生物转的统计，现在生物那块完
大的意见，这两个职业如何。我们公司medical writer工作主要是出 clinical study

到工作。医学物理，特别是临床放疗的，经验最重要。PHD跟本没有用。我是BOARD－
CERTIFIED，找工作好费劲。关系非常重要。医学物理师按照我的理解，就是一个高级
操作工。到WIKI的MEDICAL PHYSICS条目，我发现there is debate whether medical
physicist in radiotherapy is a real scientist or a glorified technician,
which is published in the journal: Medical Physics.我非常赞同这一点. medical
physics 课程极其简单，基本上什么人只要training一下都可以做.这也是为什么没有
关系，工作难找.
而且工作非常不稳定性，我见过很多physicists在一个地方干了几年，又换到另一个地

火的产品。虽然手机信号可能会影响某些medical device's function, 但是作为那些
预防或者检测功能为主的应用应该还是不少吧。现在tablet之类的泛滥，人们往往注重
娱乐而忽视健康，特别是年轻人。我猜测老年人应该更需要medical tablet. 是不是比

医那里要一份。
我之前已经把我孩子看病的情况，问过本地律师，他说他觉得这个儿医很可能是
malpractice，但是他只接死人或者life long injury的情况，他告诉我可以去medical
board投诉，并告诉我电话。他说考虑到这种官司的时间长加cost，他觉得我不值得找
律师，但医生肯定做错了事。
我换儿医之前，已经拿到了所有病历。

Why is it that medical masks are worn for the safety of these medical
workers & other medical workers around the world but we are told by our
government that they don't keep the general public safe? Something to
ponder!
--- Possible reason that US has a shortage of masks and the government wants
to keep people calm down other than a panic. When you realize you cannot
get a mask, it’s horrible.
