看了下FIRESTONE上,AC检查要30块钱，full inspection 没标价，这个full
inspection 是不是就是mechanical test啊，有没有做过的人知道多少钱啊？
mechanical test不包查空调吗
卖主不愿意到我知道的私人那检查，说要到第三方连锁店检查才公平。另外我看了
AAMCO，它家检查空调免费，这个免费检查靠的住不，会不会随便忽悠一下啊？
卖主说查处问题了，价格negotiate，我现在犹豫是不是要去检查。怕检查2,300块钱直
接就废掉了

电池应该是好的（ Sears 里测试过）， 不知哪里还有可能出现问题？
大家有没有Mechanic推荐一下？ 不行就打算卖掉或捐掉了。

就是刚刚出来那个NIH director's early independence award
其实看起来mechanism和现有的fellows program也差不多：招10个新毕业的PhD，给
250K一年，学校提供lab space等等 让他们跳过postdoc阶段
但是不一样的是，首先这些人基本上都只能出自本校了吧，因为给的deadline太近
压根没打算留出让大家自由申请的时间，而且看现在开始搞得几个学校（像Stanf
ord duke）也都是以内部推荐为主的。另外就是，拿了这个钱的以后就不算NIH ne
w investigator了。
这样看好坏就挺难衡量的了。。好处是钱真多（比大部分fellow program都多很多

总结自己做的有何不妥的时候，LP说估计是因为我用了mechanism这个词，而不是
policy，在这个语境下让人有种我想暗箱操纵，走后门的感觉
个人感觉这个词是个中性的不能再中性的词，没有觉得比policy更恰当，但是觉得这个
语境下，完全可以跟policy混用。
向大家请教，这个词真的有不好的意思吗？ |

Engineering 科班出身，项目偏 microfuidics, MEMS。找工作挣扎了好久没有着落，
望板上各位兄弟姐妹帮帮忙。简单介绍一下本人背景。
软件方面：Matlab编程计算作了好几年，python编程能上手，从没刷过题。另外，用的
熟练的专业软件：SolidWorks,AutoCAD,COMSOL,LabView
MEMS 方面：简单的sensor,actuator都上手设计过，clean room fabrication做的很多
，大部分的cleanroom 设备都用的很熟练。
Microfluidics 方面：device,实验，simulation，计算都做过。
另外，我的数学背景和数值计算很强。
有卡。不需要sponsor.
目前在湾区，但可以relocation.
专业对口最好， 但General mechanical engineering 的工作也行，不求高title高工
资。

numerical methods本身的，没有什么specific的方向的应用，平常research用自己的
finite element solver，用MATLAB写的，其他语言都不太行:(
commercial software都比较熟
看到西岸有蛮多航空航天，和汽车的opening, 都是要有关finite element 和
simulation的。我没有在这些方面应用的经验，能让人觉得qualify吗？还是应该怎么
justify一下，我有mechanics的背景，是能做这些的？
