PhD转到了几乎纯生物，现在去个不错的学校Mechanical Engineering interview，要
给个talk。首先，本人现在做的东西和ME没有太大的关系，主要是Biomedical/
chemical engineering相关的（不知道对方那点看中我了），现在给个job talk，请问
是不是要把过去的东西尽量往ME方向上靠（有些化学的东西ME得人听不懂？）。这种情
况是不是可以和Department chair事先沟通一下（但是也有担心该弱点会被放大，欲盖

的是resume 不是cv。发的文章没有列出来。简历只包括Summary, Experience, Skills,
Education, Publication and Reference available upon request. 我去找了一些工作
的人的简历来对比，也让他们给我的提意见。在很伤筋动骨地改动许多次以后定稿成现在

在版上学到很多东西，也发现ME相关的东西比较少，希望能给广大ME的同胞们一些帮助
。先说下我的背景，2007年暑假，本科毕业，来美直接读ME的PHD。高考很失败，本科
学校在一本中算倒数，美国的学校也就六七十吧，但是老板在这个领域还算牛，比较知
名。我的方向是manufacturing.因为准备年底工作，明年春才能正式毕业，所以没投很
多简历，都是投的比较符合背景，自己比较感兴趣的，总共投了大概4，5家，一个面试
，一个OFFER，在OH，8万，+2500的sign on bonus. FRESH PHD，地点和工资都很满意
了吧。离自己GF也近了将近一半的距离，8小时的LD终于可以缩短了。
大概是从三月分开始投简历的，准备11月左右开始工作。之前从去年初就开始准备简历
，看工作了吧，因为想找暑假的实习。我感觉尽早去找工作网站看看是非常有好处的，
比如phd毕业前两年，如果肯定不想当 faculty, 想去工业界的话。这样可以看到公司
都招什么样的人，自己有充足的时间按工业界要求的标准去准备。
