Repairman”，指的是产品的质量太好了，所以维修员闲得跟Maytag Repairman一样。
Maytag还吞并了另一个大牌Amana，也是质量特好。现在你要是买7，80年代的老房子，
还能见到当年的这两个牌子的洗衣机。卖家要是个老头老太太的话，估计会给你鼓吹他
的洗衣机如何好，还能用上个50年不变，100年不变的。。。可惜公司不懂得变通，居
然被后起之秀Whirlpool于2005年给吞并了。当年其实也差点被海尔给买了，但美国政
府干预了，所以只能卖给美国的企业。现在看到的Amana，Maytag，Magic Chef都属于
Whirlpool集团的，质量都差不多，没有特别好的，也不特别差而已。。。 |

了不制冷了。现在的房子里买的三星的，能用多少年不知道，但比Maytag安静的不是一
点半点。Maytag的存在感很强，三星的要不是偶尔夜深人静的时候在厨房听到若有若无

Whirlpool Corp.'s Maytag unit is recalling about 1.7 million dishwashers
because of a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission, which announced the recall
Thursday, says the company, part of Whirlpool Corp., has received 12
reports of electrical failures in the dishwasher heating element that
led to fires and damage.
One kitchen fire caused extensive damage, the agency said. No injuries
have been reported.

washer/dryers in sears. They were pretty good, quiet and clean, before it
broke after 5 years. The repair cost was quoted $500, so I just gave up and
bought a new one.
Now maytag was sold and they do not produce high end products anymore. |

三星/LG洗衣机像地震，并不是三星/LG的专利，是FrontLoad洗衣机的通病，其实，只
要定期更换皮带，振动就可以减缓或避免。
Maytag的最近出的不新不旧型号TopLoad洗衣机，问题比较多。但Maytag新型号已经被
Wirlpool接管，是Wirlpool代加工。 |
