NYSE includes quite a few companies in the sector. Patriot Coal is up well
over 10% on renewed rumors of a takeover/merger with Massey Energy .
Stillwater Mining is also up over 10% on heavy trade. Other strong
performers include Massey Energy, James River Coal , Consol Energy and
Walter Energy , all of which are up between 3% and 5% on expanding volume.
