US national是不是特指绿卡持有者（和American Samoa or Northern Mariana
Islands的特例）？
因为对于owes his sole allegiance to the United States这句不明白什么意思。
所以像F1 student NR，就该勾选Line 2 other NR aliean么？
其他项目多亏本版，基本添完。多谢。 |

发帖数: 626 | 3 从前单身，一直file 1040NR-EZ。现在有小孩了，本想通过小孩减税，经过仔细查询，
发现未居住满5年的 "F, " "J, " "M, " or "Q " 是不能通过Substantial Presence
Test来积累有效天数变为Resident Alien的，应一律按照Non resident Alien。而Non
resident是不能设置dependent来减税的。貌似版上很多人对这个理解都有问题。
1. 我这个理解是否正确？
2. 如果使用1040给小孩减税有什么后果？

域所以不知道renew EAD卡邮寄地址是TSC还是NSC。版上也有几个人问，大家都不确定
。后来问了律师，然后又电话问了USCIS客服：renew EAD卡邮寄地址是根据你现在居住
的地址和I-485交到哪里无关。

发帖数: 2001 | 41 先去新加坡的各个景点去看看、玩玩。Mariana Bay附近的不少地方可以玩的。
对了，最近Singapore flyer有折扣，30% off,可以去坐一下，晚上应该更好点。
我们上周一家人去的，还不错。
有娃的话，zoo/night safari/bird park可以去玩啊。
等你熟悉了，可以去周围国家玩，坐大巴去马来西亚，旅行社很多很方便。
如果爱好运动，坡国体育设施还行，羽球。游泳、乒乓、保龄，我有不少同事还经常出
国去打golf，潜水等。据说便宜很多。

发帖数: 575 | 42 今天是到新加坡两周整。记录一下心情印象。
刚到新加坡，第一感觉是也不那么热呀。我们的飞机半夜两点到，出来机场虽然也有热
浪袭来，比起奥兰多可差远了。接下来每天在办公室，公车都有空调，除了去hawkers
center, 别的地方都可以接受。我们同事说我走运，今年不热。
吃的是丰富多彩，又便宜。我每天在楼下food republic 吃一个不同的摊子，目前还有
一半
没吃过。不过超市的东西就贵，美国进口的要贵1.5 到3倍。新鲜肉和菜要按100g 为单
位，算出来比美国贵5倍。这不是出去吃比自己做还便宜？
毕竟好的馆子好像也比美国贵。周五去的无招牌，公司报销，我也没注意价钱。
城市很干净，市中心很漂亮。不过没有超大城市的感觉，我等车时总觉得想是在合肥一
样。可能是街上人没那末多。周末去了一趟orchard。Tang plaza 前人山人海，不过大
部分人三五一堆，都站那不动，不知在干吗。
Mariana bay 的夜景好美。新加坡河边的景色入夜了也很不错。感觉到了夜里，城市就
更鲜活了。
还有的就是shopping center, 真是无处不在呀。公司所在处，五分钟内可以到四五个
