It's great on gas, the body is strong and the engine is great. As for the
tranny, one can't feel it shift. Its air condition and heat is wonderful.
Overall, it's a great SUV.

“Your photos are excellent. This house is only six years old and the crack
could be significant. There is no guarantee that this crack could not
expand (widen) in the future, or that others
could occur. A civil or geotechnical engineer should evaluate the condition
. Repairs can always be done and may not be that extensive. A manometer
test (to check for slab levelness) may

三类意见:
A）【5人】貌似正常，若无其他明显症状，不算大问题。
B）【1人】不好说，问题可大可小，需要实地考察。
C）【1人】问题可能会变得严重，推荐找geotechnical engineer看。

些的吗？
(1) Moisture damage to both of the corner trim on the chimney chase, advise
repairs now. Have a qualified contractor further inspect and repair as
needed.
(2) Damaged garage door, the door is bent and the rollers are off / broken,
repair. The left door is damaged, unable to open. The right door electronic

这两天自己买了Radon Tester，测了3天，15-19 pCi/L。Google了一下，这东西随时间
的波动还是比较大的，比如房子多个裂缝。
因为房子里有预留的管路，所以只需要装风扇就行。刚刚下单买了RP145，PVC
Coupling, Power Cord和Manometer，总共花了不到180块。过一阵子自己装上，比请人
装省320块。 |

发帖数: 1089 | 7 墙洞和所有pvc管路房子里有, 我只要爬到attic上割开pvc,装上风扇, 电源, 还有去地
下室manometer就行。估计hacksaw加螺丝刀就够了。

发帖数: 1089 | 8 一周前我提到氡气测量的数值变化非常大，我家的几个月前后的测量结果居然差了10倍
，也不知道是不是有人小数点弄错了一位。一周前火速下单买了Radon Fan，今天已经
装好运行起来了。随便写几个流水帐吧。
首先是难度，由于builder已经预留了管路，我所做的安装过程还是比较简单的，总共
花了1个半小时左右。我干活不算快，但如果有电锯的话，1小时足够了。
如果没有预留的氡气管路，安装难度会比较高，因为要在水泥地钻出几个至少3.5寸的
孔安装PVC，自己搞个Sump也要费一些力气。
Radon Fan的话，有几家比较流行的牌子，其中Radonaway看起来更流行一些。由于氡气
地下吸气的装置有几种（石子、土、水），相应的风扇也有几种，这些信息可以在网上
查到列表。我买的型号是RP145。然后要买两个rubber coupling，用于连接风扇和PVC
管；还有Power Cord，power cord有2种，区别就是看风扇附近有没有预留的插座；最
后要买一个U形管Manometer，用于监测系统的压力差。
具体做法就是锯开现有的氡气管路，安装风扇，然后在地下室装上U形管。根据氡气管

一个home development的工程 一个小区的木结构房子已经开发了6，7年了，第二楼的i
-joist bounce很厉害，现场去看过一次，走在上面deflection大概有2 inch。当时我
在上面跳的时候都有点蛋疼的感觉。
回到office后，看了他们的as-built plan, 然后根据原始的data 扎到了每个房间的 I
-joist，从新做过计算，但是从计算里面看，计算出来的deflection是在CBC的
deflection limit里面。
二楼还没有做destructive test，所以我暂时没考虑shear/moment failure。 除了 i-
joist deflection，我是不是还有其他因素没有考虑进来？ 所有房子的foundation是
PT，打开了一楼的地板，发现有很多的裂缝，不知道这个会不会影响到二楼的floor
bounce？ 自己也用manometer把其中一个房子的 grading都读了一边，手绘了

我也不会说builder是哪些公司，但是我见到过的问题如下：
1. post-tension slab on grade，整个地基上面开裂。
2. 用manometer做了topography map，整个房子的grading非常糟糕。
3. floor vibration， 第二层走上去，地板会晃动。
4. poor construction，比如门，drywall，insulation很差。
5. house grading很差，下大雨的时候，雨往房子里面流。
6. 房外排水很差，也是和grading有关，雨季的时候，水会流入房间。
7. 整个community的排水很差，山上的v-ditches设计不合理，有一些section over
flow，水流入房子里面。 |
