话说前两天跟医学院招生的人聊,有人问了,为啥医学院这么歧视大龄生(non-
traditional student)?招生的答说,因为年纪大的学生经常都不够malleable。医学
院就是个军队系统,新兵蛋子进去总是要被蹂躏地,everyone is going to abuse you
,那老家伙们被蹂躏就承受不了啦。我心想这不就是老刀一直喊的CMG要绝对服从么。
那人又再问了,何为abuse?答曰,比如没有准备的问你问题一直到你答不上来然后骂
你蠢,或者挑你操作的毛病然后骂你笨。你们大龄生都有家有仔工作中手下还带一帮人
,能受得了这个气嘛?
所以我想不管是考校还是考板的大龄生,其实最需要过去的坎就是要能被蹂躏,要能象
个初中生一样挨训。如果申请上医学院之前太顺了,也许反而不利于申请,因为锐气和
张狂并不是医学院所喜欢的。一个医学生一直到做完residency前都是不可以挑战上级
的。其实这是和PhD正好相反的,因为有太多PhD敢于挑战导师和权威,坚持自己的学术
观点最后证明自己是对的例子。我觉得自己很大的问题就是P |
