I just asked my dealer, and was told the extended maintenance plan cost $1,
800 for another 2 years and extended warranty cost about $3,600 for another
years.
Shall I buy both of them ? Or is there any place I can find a better deal ?

我前一辆车，02 Honda Accord，8k miles不换机油也没有这个问题。TL不是accord的马甲么，为啥差别这么大？有点伤DFBB神车用户的感情啊
btw:我是自己根据manual把maintenance的灯灭了的，所以这个不是灯是否reset的问题 |

我买车的时候dealer也猛向我推销这个extended maintenance program, $2090吧好像。
连dealer说的话都差不多，说你换一次brake pad就要1200，换一次oil/filter就要200
多。当时很动心，但是还是忍住了没有买。
新车都是4 year/50000Mile的free maintenance，这期间自己需要出钱的基本上就只有
轮胎。这么算下来，花2000多买这个program只是cover 4年/50000mile以后的那2年/50
000mile。相当于一年要1000多刀。算一下，在这两年间，就算换一次brake pad，再换
两次机油什么的，要1600左右，不到2000。当然，前提是没有其他的毛病。
我觉得主要还是看你看得多不多。如果你是用来每天commute，那我觉得可以买，毕竟多
花2000，可以买一共6年/10W mile的安心，值了。但是如果开得不多，那可以不买我觉

want to do oil changes as infrequently as possible. In this case, many
people suggest do an early oil change before the first due date.
In your situation, it's quite late to do the early oil change now. If the
dealer doesn't want to work on it now, just wait until it's due. |

care maintenance 是它认可或专为此设置的。

结果买回来我开得也很少，到现在mileage才2万4，不过停放的地方一直是露天的，我

是575刀，25K是435刀，35K是1200刀，45K不记得了。想过Audi贵，没想过这么贵啊，
和他家工作人员再三确认，15K英里就是575刀。。。
最后只能现场买了那个Maintenance套餐，880刀Cover 15K/25K/35K/45K。但是感觉也
很坑，以后四次在他家做，估计额外不cover的部分也很贵。
想去外面做，无奈外面几家店都说这车太新，找不到一些配件。。。 |

其他），我们都很猥琐的一一拒绝，但是对warranty/maintenance extension有点犹豫
。BMW出厂有4年/5W迈的byumper to bumper warranty/maintenance 。如果目前在滴乐
那里买2000多刀的，就可以另外再延长2年/2W迈的warranty和保养，一共是6年/7万迈
，日常保养和维修零配件不用再花钱（不知道labor算不算）。不知道这2000多刀是否
值得在买新车的时候购买（经理说，在购车合同的当时买extension的话，可以拿到折
扣，折扣后2000多。如果自己以后再去买，就没有这个折扣了，差不多要3500多刀的样
子）。大家分析看看，谢谢。我们也不打算一辈子持有这个车，但是4-5年还是没问题

comparison）。个人比较关心保修和保养，有几个问题需要请教。大家不吝赐教啊。
4年出保后benz和bmw各有选择7年的extended warranty。asking价格好像是benz更便宜
些2500，bmw要3200左右。都说benz修起来要更贵，为什么反了呢？是因为的确bmw容易
坏所以必须提高保费吗？
两者保养都是一直逐年abab吗？3,4年后保养费用如何？看到bmw有6年extended
maintenance大概2,3千（其实就是3年因为前三年免费），而没有看到benz有这种
package，难道benz除了前四年的package后面一定要逐次分开付款吗？如果各持有7年
，谁的maintenance费用更高？ |

For the decorative trim, if installed a little below the shower head (so not
in the spray line), would it almost maintenance free if they are marble (or
travertine)? Handheld shower head will be installed, so I cannot guarantee
that the decorative area is always dry, because my daughter sometimes takes
off the showerhead.

I think the safest thing you can do is: schedule ACH transfers in your
external bank account to automatically push $5 into your debit card account
and then automatically pull $5 out of your debit card account every 2 months

你的外部银行每个月（或小于90天）自动schedule一个$5 ACH 存，然后一个$5 ACH 取

deals with transmission, go with a reliable indie shop. If you don't know
any, go to a dealer. Dealer is expensive, but they normally do a okay job,

06买的新车，Santa Fe，才开了15000，上个星期三（2月24号）拿去dealer那里做
maintenance check，回来之后就一直放着，今天晚上准备开出去聚会，刚打着火就感
觉不对劲，车身抖得厉害，check engine的灯也一直亮着，在停车场转了一圈，怎么踩
油门速度也上不了20迈，怀疑是引擎出了问题。回家之后，打开前盖想看一下究竟咋回
事，发现引擎上散布着一些垃圾，包括貌似是装机油的盒子，咖啡杯和塑料袋，同时发
现引擎盖下面还压着一圈同样的垃圾，上边还清楚地看得见商品的条形码。现在准备打
电话去投诉，想请教大家几个问题：
1. 汽车出现上述情况，可能是什么原因？
2. 跟dealer交涉这件事情的时候，有些什么地方需要特别注意的？比如怕deal |

且我发现每次红灯刹车以后，Engine的指针都不会回到“Ready"那里了,不过当时没在
意。
两星期前车胎被扎了,去dealer那里补胎, 顺便提了一下刹车响声,delaer换了前面的
pad,刹车还是有响声。昨天早上终于忍无可忍又去dealer那里检查，dealer说后轮的
rotors defective，给换了，现在没有响声了。神奇的是，红灯刹车以后，Engine的指
针能回到“Ready"那里了,这个和rotors有关吗？ |
