昨晚尝试从ebay上打印mail label, 用USPS media mail, 加delivery confirmation
20美分，共需邮资2.60美元。因为俺想去邮局实地考察，以便比较，所以取消从eBay作
mail label。
今日去邮局，邮局服务生用的是first class parcel, $2.90, delivery confirmation
$0.80, 共花$3.70。
这样的parcel不能以media mail邮寄吗？俺忘了问。
是不是从eBay购买shipping label 更省邮费？麻烦问一下。 |

checked the status, USPS tracking still indicated "acceptance" - item was
picked up by the post office. I feel quite nervous now. I am not sure if
USPS lost the mail or not. Called them and was told nothing. Should I ask
the university to resend an offer letter to sign?

mail left US on 07/25. I called USPS. They said they can only send an inuiry
letter to China department and then receive a reply in ~60 days.
1. Did anyone use USPS registerred mail beofre, how long it will take
normally?
2. Is there any way to ask USPS to give a fast investigation on a
registerred mail?

才免费) 而且盒子里外都写满priority字样，想翻过来用也不行。
寄书的话，一般一本用一个大的bubble信封(我收到过别人是用一个灰色的塑料袋寄来的) 就可以了,从东岸到西岸，media mail 5 lb的大概5刀左右。
你想一般网上卖书的买家一般都是自己把shipping label打印好，没人会到邮局去接受检查说是否可以用media mail的吧，而且书当然算media mail了。 |

priority flat box可能贵一点点，但是速度会快一些，不过他的盒子比较薄。media
mail的话就可以自己找厚一点的盒子了，但是时间长担心路上会不会有问题。这两种方
式到底哪一种安全性比较高呢？有没有有经验的xdjm来说一下，谢谢

16号），Tracking number显示才送达Illions 州！而且五天内status才更新一次。现
在都不知道package在何处。15号打电话给USPS，被告知用Truc运输，我问为什么一开
始estimation time是两天，现在这么久了廖无音讯，对方答，Priority mail 没有任
何guaranteed。那两天只是一个估计，送不到毫无办法。对方说，你打电话给我，查到
的信息和你自己查到的信息是一样的 ...无语阿
我原来以为Po box无法用express，现在才知道，FedEX和UPS确实无法快递到Po box，
但是USPS的Priority Mail Express是可以的。提醒大家以后多花一点钱，使用USPS的
Priority Mail Express，guarantee 两天内到达！ |

法识别外，格式什么都还好。但是，如果我设置字体，字体大小，就出现问题了。
1）在Mail里面，12 pt的Helvetica看起来大小正合适，但是到油箱（比如Gmail或者
Yahoo）或别的客户端（比如Outlook）就显得很大，同样大小的字体，在safari里面看
比在mail里面大（比如helvetica 12pt，在mail里面显得正好，在safari里面就挺大的
了），大家有这样的情况么？
2）如果用rich text设置字体，会出现设置成12号，但是到别的客户端上就变成14号的
情况，这种情况总是在signature里面发生，正文里面貌似没有，不知道大家有什么办
法。
Google了一圈，貌似也有人遇到这些问题，但是没搜到什么有用的办法，不知道各位有

能不能用media mail要看你里面装的是啥.media mail理论上只能寄media啊.
paypal打的和usps.com打的价格应该一样,都比去邮局便宜.但paypal有些选项不全.比
如,paypal没有regianl A priority mail的选项,usps.com有. |

。以前寄的平信，priority mail, express mail，包裹和信件，最慢的都3周到。请问
是不是寄丢了？另外海关只查包裹吗，还是也会查信？心理好怕怕，谢谢！ |

发帖数: 1655 | 47 eBay上卖一个遥控模型，成交之后，16号晚上直接在eBay打印了shipping label，只有
DC没有买保险，价格是12多块。
17号周一上午，直奔邮局把东西交给了柜台服务员大叔，当时还特意问了包裹的大小和
重量是否符合priority mail的要求。在得到肯定答复之后就走了。也没有要收据什么
的。
结果今天已经是20号了，到现在tracking的结果还是Electronic Shipping Info
Received.昨天中午不放心就去那个邮局问了下，他们表示东西肯定已经收走了，但是
的确追踪不到。有可能是因为17号那天收件太多，所以没有scan。
一般来说从KY到TX的priority mail两天就该到了，但是直到现在都还没有一点消息。
昨天寄出去的First class mail，下午就有更新了，这会都N条状态在里面了。
我现在有点担心包裹出问题了，毕竟这单交易的金额在90多美元，对我一个学生来说不
算是个小数目。我的理解是，他们最起码应该有个acceptance的状态吧？但什么都没有
，这样如果包裹丢了我该肿么办？！现在似乎与当初有无买保险已经无关了，因为目前

发帖数: 1177 | 49 我应该是上个月第一个去面试的，最后一个人上周四面试。这周三按捺不住，给search
committee的chair, 一个中国人，发了一封e-mail问申请的状态. 这是他第二天早上给我回的。
我的理解是人已经选好了，看来我不是top candidate, 不过有可能别人据掉， 我还是有点希望
的。请美国同事看了一下，他的理解使这个招人过程已经结束了，不会给你offer了。我还是觉
得这时候就定下来有点太早了吧。
问题是给领导，e-mail中提到的Dr. xx发e-mail, 他也不回。不知道是对被据的连理也不理了，
还是现在还在等别人的回复，不好给我说什么？ |
