我先开个头， 回答一下反轮关于某把Jackson custom 琴的问题“为什么不用active
pickup? ” 答案是我和我朋友们都认为active pickup 不好， 不能体现出琴木头本身
的音色。 但如果琴不好的话， active pickup 反而可以掩盖一下。 我现在常用的一
把Strat （不是Fender 的）一买来的时候装的是 David Gilmour 的EMG DG-20 (
active pickup)。 后来发现声音太死板 就换了 Fender 的pickup再加了钛金属琴桥。
现在出来的声音我挺满意的。不过话说回来， 就David Gilmour 而言， 他在Strat上
弹的东西比较重， 其实是比较适合用active pickup 的。
关于某把Jackson custom 琴的第二个问题 “琴身是African Mahogany么?” 好像不
是, 具体是什么我要问问我的朋友。 |

why I am still keeping it.

发帖数: 379 | 14 这个Max说的，有一些道理的地方。不过好像主题还是最后几句话：买我的吧。哈哈。
要不是从50年过来的baby boomer + vintage freak的话其实也不用太在意。那时候的
琴还不是自动化生产，比如拾音器都是手绕的，木材供应渠道也不是很稳定。任意两把
琴听起来也会不大一样。
mahogany我的经验是比较稳定的木材，相互间差不是特别大。alder（strat的主要材料
）也很稳定。swamp ash差别会比较大，大概也是fender现在用得比较少的原因。电琴
嘛，其实影响最大的还是拾音器。其次是neck。其实body的音色比大家想象的影响要小
得多。
我的漆也是用的nitrocellulose, freaks们热衷的。说它可以透气什么的，是最好的漆
。我觉得也是夸大了。对我来说它好的方面在于很容易fix，因为新漆可以和老漆融合
在一起。现在一般的吉他漆都是polyster或者urethane的，类似于实木地板或者汽车漆
。它们比nitro的要坚硬很多 。问题在于不好fix。因为它们凝固了以后就不能再溶化

我很喜欢black korina，木纹艺术成分很高。共鸣很好。从制作人的角度来说，它比较
软。容易加工。相对来说mahogany要坚硬很多。
你说的那个rotary switch的设置方式也是我通常喜欢用的。比如以前的一些琴中我通
常会这么做：switch的第一个位置是single coil(humbucker coil tap)，第2个位置是
humbucker，第3个位置是加pre amp/ mid boost的音色，等等等等。这样就好像你有多
个program / bank可以选择一样。而且非常organized.
不过这回我不弄这些。拾音器都是passive的。准备装的电路是一个sustainer。那个
rotary switch是用来控制开关，强度的。
我本来也是改装电路搞起来的，后来不知道怎么就做起木工了。呵呵。基本上市场的各
种pickup switch, pre amp, piezo, variax，midi and their combinations我都可以装上去。

了再上烙铁。
改天我也去买 ultra thin glue 把我好几把琴上的clean coat dent 修一下。
这是把什么琴？Polyester paint on a mahogany neck? A Taylor?
好想冲到你家里看琴,可惜这段时间太忙，过一小会儿吧 ：）

我已經去guitar center玩了好幾次，音色很不錯的說，圓潤飽滿，適合blues、Jazz等
。而且琴體工藝也非常的精細，但是感覺硬件的咚咚有些粗糙，特別是switch扳動的時
候很費勁，換了幾把都這樣。價格799有些偏高。總體感覺很不錯。

我觉得至少花到七八十就可以当乐器了
到100多就有spruce的面单了
到200多就可以有很不错的mahogany全单了

士，人头马，还是要xo级别的？我一直都没有体验过路易13，据说在美国1800块一瓶。
现在开口跟国内来的交流都被人笑话。有次带人去看一个米国高档牌子的家具。就是在
北卡的一个牌子。材料是mahogany。国内人据说只哈这个材料。
结果人一看价位，一套dinnering room的，一个8座的餐桌，6把椅子，一个china
cabin，一个男主人椅子背后的柜子，具体我也不懂名字，我擦，整套开价$11000。原
价$23000。
结果国内来的人大哭小叫的便宜，便宜。说是国内要18万一套。我当时听的就心里很气
愤哪。我擦，3万美刀的家具，也是你们中国人配买的吗。3万米刀啊，那可是几乎一台
acura tsx。
结果后来turn out，说是美国这个牌子的家具档次不够。因为都是贴面的,veneer什么
之类的。国内的都是实实在在的木头。
不过，我擦，我后来真的带了一些人去看了。普遍都说在美国哈，能进的去的朋友的家
，还真没见过这种档次的整套，整套的家具。就是说跑进朋友家门，一看，我擦，门前

bathroom 和小柜子。。。简单地说，这个柜子，是birch plywood的身子，门是maple
hardwood with glass，其它的molding, edge band都是maple的，stain 是mahogany。

么大的rubber塞子
不过挺喜欢你的vanity的。。。我喜欢的颜色也是dark chocolate + 乳白色的quartiz
，然后我也喜欢stand的sink。。。不过我买了frosted glass的sink，所以也许台面改
黑色的quartz更好看,然后柜子就用和我做的bathroom cabinet的一样的red mahogany
。其实我觉得玻璃台面也好看。。。 |
