Madawaska River是加拿大安省的一条白水河，离渥太华一百多公里，离多多伦多两百
多公里。这条河上有一组名为长蛇滩的反激流，在5公里长的距离上分布8个激流，而且
都是一个激流接一个平潭的组合，非常适合练习。很多canoe/kayak学校俱乐部把这当
作了训练场。我们俱乐部也是每个月都要去一到两次。
今年冬天加拿大东部降雪很少，开春以来各个河流的水位都很低。幸亏这一阵连续降雨
，水位有所回升，让我们这一次很过瘾。 |

in Ottawa on Monday in the deaths of a mother and her child, who were swept
over a cliff when a wall of water was released from a provincial dam in 2002.
Cynthia Marie Cadieux, 32, and her son, Aaron, 7 were sunbathing by the
Madawaska River near Calabogie when the gates of the Barrett Chute
generating station were opened. The victims were from nearby Renfrew, Ont.
