Imagine if Bush had insulted his Latino guests like this.
Latinos with forks, that seems to be Obama’s newest fear. At least, that’s
the case judging from his actions at this years National Association of
Latino Elected Officials (NALEO) luncheon since Obama had the Secret Service
confiscate all the dinner forks from the participants at the June 22 event
held in Orlando, Florida.
I guess Obama doesn’t worry about millions of illegal immigrants taking our

刚刚上accounting第一个学期的第二个月，昨天意外接到一份系里的通知，说是"
based on your outstanding grades in accounting this semester"，我被选为“
Accounting Star"，并被邀请参加3月18日的一个luncheon reception。4大中，
Deloitte, Ernst & Young和KPMG都派员参加，还有BKD, Clear Channel, Dan
Slattery & Associates, Fisher, Herbst & Kemble, Frost, Padgett, Stratemann &
Co., Polansky, McNutt, Perry & Co., and Zachry。基本上除了BKD和Frost，其他
公司我听都没听过。上午去系里见系主任，说是一共有35个学生，但只有我是第一个学
期，其他都是快毕业或准备实习的。这当然是个好事，是个向4大展示自己得好机会。

大概20所学校，至今收到一个拒信，一个on site （没有电面，很奇怪）。由于自己一
点经验都没有，不知道on site 是怎么样的。被告知要做一个seminar，还有一个和所
有faculty 的 business luncheon，说在这个luncheon上要详谈自己的研究计划。这第
二个听起来有点紧张。这里的前辈有什么建议我需要注意的吗？ 十分感谢。 |

能有点吃不消了。
我们现在作息很不好，都是10点多甚至11点多，周末12点多起床，然后吃早饭。然后上
班，中饭都是2－3点吃。我想吃的并且能买到的很多lg 说孕妇不能吃，比如生菜沙拉（里面有cheeze,有luncheon
meat..)， subway（有luncheon meat)。于是我就自带方便面，水果，酸奶等等。晚上回来我有时帮忙洗切菜，lg做饭。
饭后有时我帮忙洗碗。一般12点睡觉。
爸妈的签证还没有过期，3－4月来的话也不需要签证。待到8月份再换我爸妈来帮忙带
孩子。爸妈来帮忙做饭收拾屋子好处是肯定不用说得。我婆婆做饭可好吃了，人也很好相处。我自己的的小考虑是：
1。我等到中期稳定以后肯定会做更多家务和lg一起做饭。不会让他一个人抗。有点没
有必要。
2。虽然2个老人都很好相处，毕竟是长辈，我会比较不自在。不像lg 和自己2个人在家
那么放松。我希望整个孕期是我和lg的2人世界。我也担心他爸很无聊。上次呆了不到2个月的时候就已经憋坏了。我们这
里是小农村。周围啥都没有。

tuesday -- children bring a handmade cards/poem/picture
wednesday -- all staff luncheon
thursday -- all staff dessert
friday -- children bring a treat to the teacher (could be anything)
其中，如果家长想要donate to breakfast/luncheon/dessert，需要提前联系。我周日
晚上才想起来，自然就不donate了。今天早上，翻箱倒柜的把小菜以前上美术课的作品
撕了一张让她带走送给老师了，:P
计划周五再在家里翻点啥中国特色的，比如真丝小手绢什么的让她带去就完了。说实话

根据NSA的解密档案，1978年日本福田康夫首相访美时，美国就钓鱼岛（原文使用尖阁
群岛）争端做了如下表态，共三点。
1. 美国将避免介入日本和中国（大陆和台湾）在钓鱼岛所有权上的争议。
2. 美国承认二战结束前日本对这些岛屿的管理权（原词为authority，而非ownership
）。美国根据和平条约(旧金山和约）的第三款，在1945到1972年期间（对这些岛屿）
行使管理权。
3. 正如美方在交还冲绳时所声明的那样，”美国一直坚持的立场是：将这些岛屿的管
理权交给日本，并没有改变钓鱼岛法律从属权利，这些权利在美国与琉球群岛发生联系
之前就已存在。“
