发帖数: 39120 | 2 著名美国华人社团“百人会”进行的一项民调展示了中美两国民众不同的人生目标。被调查者需要从6种人生目标中(家庭幸福、过自己想要的生活、事业成功、服务社会、有钱、较高的社会地位)选择与其目标最接近的。调查结果发现，美国人最想要的是家庭幸福，而中国人最想要的是变得有钱。
“家庭观念”作为美国人的核心价值观在调查中得到了突出的体现。74%的美国人将“拥有一个幸福的家庭”作为他们的人生追求，这与2007年72%的数字基本持平，而且远远超出其他所有选项。这说明在过去的5年，家庭观念在美国维持着稳定且不可撼动的地位。在中国追求家庭幸福的人只有45.1%。2007年这一数字还是54%，位列第一，然而到了2012年则被“变得有钱”取代了其位置。
中国人选择将“变得有钱”作为人生追求的比例达48.6%，比2007年上升了近7个百分点，从而“钱”成为了中国人现在的首要追求。
与此同时，美国人的态度与中国人反差巨大，仅有8%的受访者把“钱”当作其人生追求。相似的情况还发生在对待“社会地位”的态度上。有25%的中国人追求更高的社会地位，然而只有6%的美国人这样想。

诞生于1839年的美国波士顿
“OK”诞生于19世纪的缩写潮中，后来跟它的手势一起红遍了全球。过去几周中，美国纽约市64岁的退休英语教师亨利·纳斯一直在街头派发倡导“国际OK日”的卡片。“世界各地的人都会说OK，但他们大部分并不知道这个词语的来源，”纳斯表示，“其原因可能是这个词真的太普及了。”

短片内Twins化身为狙击手，造型硬朗之余又型格，阿Sa蔡卓妍、阿娇钟欣潼大感题材新鲜，除了一尝扮演狙击手外，亦因为鲜有作品把二人塑造成为敌人。Twins在闹市大厦的天台上演一场对战，故事中双方各自透过枪上瞄准器狙击对方，不但表情认真，姿势看起来亦有板有眼。片中阿Sa因一道强光继而失手发射子弹，不慎暴露自己位置；那边厢，子弹差点儿擦伤阿娇，气氛霎时紧张起来，最后二人同时发现目标，一同拉开手掣。

pronouncing their predicament.
Here's my take on the issue:
you can be "americanized" while still having an accent - i've seen plenty of
hispanics (and asians for that matter) who have accents yet most americans
will not think of them any differently.
at the same time, you can speak perfect english while still not be "
americanized". |

I travelled on Continental Airlines CO82 non stop from Newark to New Delhi
on 15Jan2012. Being a frequent flyer on all major airlines for the past 35
years ,I was horrified by the level of service and rude behaviour of the
cabin staff and felt that it was necessary to comment on the service or lack
of it.After boarding the aircraft meal was served and then the cabin staff
