(b) The Boston Globe explains the title:

耶鲁出版社每年举办Yale Series of Younger Poets competition，搜罗全美国的年轻
诗人的诗作，评选出一位“耶鲁青年诗人”（Yale Young Poet）。这个奖项从1919年
开始设立，是美国历史最长的诗歌奖；历年获得“耶鲁青年诗人”称号的诗人包括
Adrienne Rich, John Ashbery, Jack Gilbert, Jean Valentine和 Robert Hass——
读过Adrienne Rich；她那届的评委是W.H. Auden。Auden从1947年起做过13年评委，是
该奖最辉煌的时光。
今年摘取耶鲁青年诗人桂冠的是University of Denver的博士生Eryn Green，作品集的
题目叫“ERUV”——什么意思？评委Carl Phillips的评论颇为精彩：

搬家后很少去镇上的艺术馆。这次春假，孩子的画画老师布置了几幅作品，让学生去艺
术馆找。孩子找得兴致勃勃；缺点是除了找作业里的作品，其他作品都不看了……我也
