combination of wireless router + dsl modem. The "embedded" router already
has the connection setup with the service provider, therefore, your linksys
router is only a client to the router.
An easy way to fix this is to get a dsl modem from AT&T and then use your
linksys wireless router. A more complicated way is to let your linksys
router connect to the 2wire router as a dhcp client using wireline, and then
set your linksys rout |

要．
成色很好，看起来８成新，外观没有任何损伤．这个是正品的linksys pap2 v2, 我从
bestbuy 买的，不是国内的仿造品．我原来使用它和gizmo + google voice + voipstunt.
$20 total 包括运费，或者您给个合适的价格．就是觉得放在这里也没什么用可惜了．

试过了网上通常的方法：go to http://192.168.1.1/.用admin/admin登陆，
然后在administration里面改密码，可是不行啊。
administration里面原有的那个长长的密码怎么改都改不掉，保存了以后再回来还是那
个长密码。

很多年前我买了一个WRT54GL，是我用过最稳定的router，一般的router至少几个月要
重启一下，WRT54GL一年到头都不用。唯一的缺点就是太老了，连N都不支持，就这样还
是用了很久，直到被儿子给弄坏了。后来换了很多router，包括Linksys自己的产品，
用到现在都不是百分百满意，一直很奇怪为什么54GL不出换代产品。今天想起来看看有
没有什么好router出来，结果发现这两天刚出炉的WRT新品，网上好评如潮，都是
editor‘s choice，amazon的review是唯一一个5星的router，其他router最好也是4星
都不到。总结一下特点如下：
1、信号超强，4根粗大的天线，3000 sqft的房子轻松覆盖
2、Beamforming技术可以针对某个设备加强信号，不过这个在其他新品上也有

后来配了DLINK DI-524 WIRELESS-G ROUTER 和 LINKSYS W160N 无线ROUTER,
这BUFFALO接收器怎么也找不到信号, 但可以收到一两个邻居的信号,
有没有什么解决办法? |

modem是好的，电脑直接连到modem上可以上网。但把modem跟router连在一起，然后用

Somehow this router blocks port 80. I cannot have IIS listen to this port.
Nonstandard ports are fine.
My ISP, SBC DSL, does NOT block port 80. In other words, if I directly
connect my XP box to the DSL modem, my IIS can listen to port 80 without any
problem.
I did port forwarding setting in the router as instructed at

连接上去，可是没有流量，无法打开网页。把router重新开关了好几次也是一样。后来
怀疑是modem的问题。但是不通过router的话，直接连到计算机是没有问题的。所以我
想应该是router的问题。买了一个新的router, linksys的，WRT54G2把，都弄好后。我
的计算机能搜索到网络，但是无法连接，一直在获取地址，然后就断线拉。我google了
很久，也没有找到原因。在youtube上看到一个老外也在骂，题目叫stupid linksys,
video下面的comments看似有点用，可是我计算机又不是很好，他们说的我不知道从何
入手。但是似乎就是router的设定问题。还有router的新设定是采用WAP2加密的，我不
知道会不会是因为我的笔记本太老的原因，是很久以前的T41。不过我的T41的无线网卡
坏了，我新买的D-Link的无线网卡。我在网上download了说明书看了一下，似乎有些老
款的不能兼容WAP2的网络。反正搞了一大堆。还是不知道怎么搞。不知道又没有人能帮
忙指导一下。真是超级 |

不过2wire modem的无线功能挺差的，就是想换linksys wireless router WRT54GS 替

成PPPoE, 连接linksys WRT54GS router，将router 设成DHCP mode, 此时，网线接
laptop，没啥问题能上网。然后在设置无线功能，我的laptop 显示信号良好，但是状
态是limited or no connectivity, 就是说无线上不了网？可能什么问题呢？我无线什

PPPoE 设在DSL modem 里，Linksys router：DHCP模式
然后一根网线从modem里出来链接Linksys WRT54GS router的4个switch口的其中一个
（不是 internet口，如果接上，反而上不了网），另一跟网线接router 剩下3个
switch口的其中一个，这根网线再接laptop, 能上网没问题。无线上网也没问题。
问题是：在有线上网的情况下，输入router 的IP 地址，访问Tomato界面，就不可以了
（显示：Network Timeout，The server at 192.168.3.1 is taking too long to
respond.）。只能拔掉链接modem 的网线，然后重新启动router，此时输入router 的
IP 地址，访问Tomato界面就可以。
新手不懂，请指教。确实不能同时进行吗？还是我哪儿设置错了？谢谢拉

还有些老设备是802.11G的。我以前的老Linksys G挺好，10年了，非常稳定，基本上没
有出过问题。这个Linksys E4200怎么样？想一步到位用个十几年。
你的电脑产品有哪一个用了十几年？这个想法很不切合实际。
要想N和G分开，你得买两个。2.4G的N速度要上去，频宽要40MHz。802.11ac的频宽好象
是160M。 |

我印象中FIOS送的是Actiontec MI424WR，应该刷不了DDWRT
但楼主可以把linksys的WAN口接在MI424WR的lan口上
此外，如果楼主的MI424WR是用网线，而不是用同轴连到光纤的盒子上，那么可以直接
把MI424WR扔进closet，只用Linksys。不过要记得设好DNS |

络，也能连上，正常上网。可是如何设置上网密码？因为没有手册，我试着上网搜了一
下。还是不行。现在问题是，一需要安装光盘去设置吗？ 二我可以在网址栏键入192.

最后含税 83刀。 今天寄到了。
包装盒上写的都是E4200 N750 ,也就是V1， 就连UPC上写的都是E4200, 但是打开后机
器的背面写的 E4200 V2.
之前在 slickedeals 和amazon 的评论里都有人提到说 网上买了V1，但是收到的都是
V2的机器。我猜测 Linksys已经把V1 停产了，所有继续销售的机器 都是V2 的版本。
V2售价要比V1 贵30刀左右。
好处是 V2用的是Marvel 1.2G的CPU， 128M ram 和128M Flash， USB 读和写的速度都
在 20M+ （实测在20-30 M之间）。
坏处是 Marvel的处理器就没有 开源的tomato和DD-WRT 支持了。
想买的自己考虑吧。 |

问题，重刷过几次固件，一直好用。而且我用的固件还是老版本，试过一次新版本，还
没有老版好用。
最近搬家，新公寓是钢筋混凝土的，无线信号衰减地很利害，而且经常连不上，连上后
下载速度也只有正常的10%。觉得可能这个router确实不行了,就在新蛋上定了个华硕N-
12。
等货这两天，把Linksys又当"活马"医了一下。下载了最新固件，问题依旧。后来看到
dd-wrt可以调解发射功率,就试着刷了。然后突然发现世界就清净了，一切都恢复了正
常。而且无论用缺省的功率设置还是增加1.5-2倍，信号强度没有什么变化。
果断cancel了新蛋的订单，继续用这个老linksys撑下去. |
