假的!
酒精食盐加沸水处理是不能让竹子(纤维质)软化的,不然生物质能源(biofuel)也
不会到今天还难产了。如果原著者稍微聪明点,用烯酸(醋)加上高温,可以水解竹子
中的五碳糖(hemicellulose), 从而使竹子多孔化。这样竹子可能还能炒炒,但也不可
能是笋状。BTW,笋是用碱浸泡竹子,去除木素(lignin)制得的。
再,前面几张照片我怎么看都觉得是木头筷子,而不是竹子的。

这个不要想了。 我知道的全世界有两个Pilot Plant式的处理Biomass成酒精的,不考
虑投入产出的,就是实验和出数据积累经验。 技术的屏障是木质素Lignin的问题。 如
果谁能解决这个问题,诺奖立马颁给你那是毫无疑问的。
现在非常成熟的由糖或淀粉制造乙醇,能量的投入与产出也是不成比例的。如果谁发明
一个方法常温经济方式分离水和乙醇,将会比诺贝尔还牛叉。

you are right, DOE is not idiots, but this pathway can only work if
follwoing problem can be fixed:
1) a energy efficient pretreatment method to handle >30% biomass and convert
all cellulose + hemicellulose to simple sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose
and xylose), those methods include solid acid catalysis, hydrothermo
hydrolysis or other advanced tech.
2) fast and energy saving separation method to remove lignin from biomass
hydrolysate
3) energy saving separation method for ethanol purificatio

As far as I know, hexose fermentation is not a big deal. But utilization of
hemicellulose or lignin cellulose is a problem.
Right now, many pepole are turning to microalgae or some photosynthetic
organims such as cyanobacterium. By the way, lipid production from algae
sometimes is better than alcohol. Some dark horses utilize CO2 under
unaerobic conditions have also been paid much attention.
If you want to work on technolgy, there's much work need to do, such as
harvesting oil or strain isolatio

根据DoE的能源报告,全世界生物质的产生量是全球能源消耗的10倍,可用来产生能源
而且不与食物冲突的生物质(主要是lignocellulose)大概与全球能源消耗量持平,当
然不同的model得到的结果有出入。
对于高价值的化工产品,对原材料的价格并不sensitive,用一般的glucose或者是生物
质产生的sugar并不是关键;但是对于biofuel而言cheap sugar是关键,只有利用所有
生物质产生的sugar甚至lignin monomers才有可能实现。

于植物组织主要是纤维素,半纤维素和lignin. 不知道用纤维素酶管不管用。 先谢了

酶如lignin peroxidase催化的反应在energy barrier的角度看就已经难以置信。关键
是无限制水解alkane chain的反应对生物系统没有实际意义。有这种催化功能的酶如果
存在,它就会攻击各种膜层的疏水部分。造成的后果完全是破坏性的。

nanocellulose has a commercial name -- Avicel, microcrystalline cellulose.
A new name for old products. Nature lignocellulose, a composite, is made of
nano-cellulose fibers plus lignin and hemicellulose.
