1. LP有一个学期是25%RA （PhD program），所以学费自己交了一半，学校cover了一
半。RA收入也是一半，数额与一半的学费相当。RA收入是taxable，不过看精华区依然
可以用5000 treaty。
2. 都是resident alien. LP是第六年的F1（08年来的）
3. married filing jointly; Modified AGI < 127000, standard deduction
看了IRS的相关条款，好像并没有不符合的地方。不过听说Tuition deduction这种比较
容易被audit，所以想保险起见，求教哪里容易忽略而出问题？

另外好像两三千的学费支出的话，好像Lifetime Learning Credit比较划算？Lifetime
Learning Credit虽然叫Lifetime，但看条款说并没有规定只能用一次，而是可以

1. 这个warranty有不少附加要求吧，比如所有的service(有关enginee和
transimission）的都要在qualified的dealer做，价格都很贵，在你万一需要warranty
service的时候需要出示所有的service 记录。lifetime这些钱加起来不少了。
2. 你准备keep这个车多久? 5年？8年？如果你准备拥有这个车8年以上，可以考虑买。
你卖车后这个warranty就没用了，所以不能作为二手车卖点。
说到底就是花钱买个lifetime的insurance，如果你一直保有这个车的话，有可能会用
的上，但10年后可能需要用得上的时候你可能早卖掉了。10年前出问题的几率大不大呢
？车本身的power train warranty cover 5年6万mile，所以如果你8年的时候卖掉，你
买的lifetime warranty就是cover 那5-8年的。 |

世界上的车的powertrain没有什么warranty是真正意义的lifetime的
因为powertrain本身就不可能做到lifetime不坏
还有就是本田也根本不提供什么life time warranty
一定是当地车行自己搞的一个名堂
比如说搞些"free" "lifetime"等等术语
专门吸引那些爱贪便宜的人
所以我的建议是 dont be so cheap
在美国车已经是个相对很便宜的东西了。 |

份就可以claim吧？ 有的地方写的只能claim一次，请问这个说法是不是准确（没找到
出处， 8863 form上part III line 23写的“Has the Hope Scholarship Credit or
American opportunity credit been claimed for this student for any 4 tax
years before 2014?”， 但没提这个Lifetime Learning Credit）。 我的情况是，去
年自己交了一千多的学费，可以拿回200多刀，但今年快毕业了有可能出去做intern然
后自己交好几千甚至上万的学费，所以如果只能claim一次，明年再claim就比较划算。
问题： Lifetime Learning Credit 是不是只能claim一次？如果是，是不是必须成为R
的第一年claim，还是可以在符合条件的任何时候都可以claim？

you are potty trained
2. kids bay schedule runs much better from 7:00 to 6:00pm whereas lifetime
ends at 3pm
3. play area in lifetime is much smaller
Every family has its own needs so there is no where perfect for everyone.
Kids bay runs different fee schedule for different age groups. My son is
between 2 and 3 so they charge 1390 sth per month without lunch. With
company discount, it runs $1255. The older, the cheaper. |

. The lifetime updates (from Garmin) is $120. I came across this deal from
MacMall. NOTE: In the MacMall add, it doesnt say Lifetime Map updates,

can verify that this is the one with the LMU).

warranty，有下列些限制：
1. 只保 power-train。
2. Not transferrable。也就是只给第一任车主（车辆过户给配偶和直系亲属除外）。
Hyundai，Kia，Mitsubishi 给 10yr/100,000 miles warrenty，也都是一样的限制条
件。
对于车厂来说，提供更长时间的 warranty 也是要增加成本的。厂家肯定经过详细的统
计分析，发现很高比例的美国人拥有一台车的时间并不长，所以通过设定 10yr 或
lifetime warranty 只给第一任车主，这样实际上对绝大部分卖出去的车来说，厂家并
不需要真正提供这么长时间的 warranty。 |
