Hello, I just went to the local DMV today to renew my driver’s license. I’
m currently in OPT CAP GAP. The DMV refused my request, the director told me
they can only renew my DL to the date on my EAD card. Even I show them my
approval notice of I-797, but they insisted that my DL couldn't be renewed
until 10/1.

license/ID. 就是在驾照上面新增了2个地方：enhanced和美国国旗（表明国籍）。
我们没有入籍的，是不是不能申请enhanced driver license ？普通驾照已经不能作为
真实有效的ID，来出入境和飞机，以及进入联邦机构场所。
大家怎么看？都去申请了增强版驾照吗？ |

发帖数: 206 | 7 我刚刚毕业，到新的一个州工作（OPT）。这个州规矩挺吓人，法律规定只要外州过来
的30天内必须换本周驾照。我今天跑去换，换完以后感觉后悔了。
我以前的州F-1学生，只要查过你证件什么合格，他们对待你就像本土美国人一样你可
以最多得到7年的有效期的驾照。我原来的驾照到19年才过期。
现在可好，这州按OPT时间算，我就一年的OPT，我驾照就给一年。而且还不是Driver
License，叫Temperatory Driver Licenses.专门发这种在美国可以有合法签证的人。
MDV小妹说你要明年拿到工作签证可以再来renew。
我感觉亏了，回来问美国人不是这个州本土人，他们说，理都不理，我都来了2年了也
没换。
大家觉得我是不是亏了。我网上一查这个州是共和党比较保守的州。当我一提原来州名
，那MDV小妹很不屑，意思说你们那州老墨多。但是我们原来州也没有说给非法移民发
驾照。我感觉又点被歧视了。虽然我知道他们也是按本州法律办事，我是不是亏大了？
换了一个短期TDL。
我听说有些州可以给非法的居民发驾照，我不知道哪个州（加州吗）？那这个美国每个

一来，不知道改怎么办，opt也已经下来了。
我是电路方向，是不是大部分都需要export license？有没有什么办法能和公司谈的？

我现在的情况是F1，准备这个月开始办opt，也没开始申请绿卡。
1. 如果我这里填YES，会对opt申请产生影响么？我也不知道他们是不是同一个部门在办，
会不会可以互相看见信息什么的。
2. 如果我填NO，会有问题么？我担心会不会觉得我过两年就走了，export license不通过

license I have encountered was prototype circuit board ship to China. It
required a lot of documentation & paperwork to prove its eligibility for
export. Didn't know your HR require this for restricted country citizens.

我在版面上搜索了一下，好像过去的Export License都是1-2个月就搞定了，不知道有
没有最近一年做这个事情的同学啊，你们花了多久？另外，我在版面上搜到的多是工程
师的例子，有没有business function的同学的例子？花了多长时间？
除了等待，有别的事情可以做么？

，甚至更长的时间。如果办Export License不需要EAD卡，就很有必要同时申请。

我去年博士毕业，就在一家小化学公司工作，职位是R&D chemist。现在申请H1B，才发
现基本工资只够申请level one! 把bonus加进去勉强够level 2. 上星期和上司商量一
下，极不情愿调工资啊， 怎么办啊？申请LCA只能用base salary啊， 能直接申请
level 1 吗？
还有， HR问我那个I-129表的选项，controlled technology export license
required 那项， 她也不清楚是什么。我公司就是苦逼的普通化学公司。在哪里可以查
到需不需要这个license啊？
