昨天晚上又不转了，我把空调关了几个小时后，今天早晨重新启动又好了。
刚才下班回家，发现风扇又停了。
这到底是什么问题？motor坏了？还是capacitor又坏了。
德州今年真是要命了，每天105+，快两个月了。
那些羡慕德州房子的童鞋们还是歇了吧，有机会我也赶紧离开这里。

1.大公司：
LENNOX XC14-036： 14.2 SEER, 3 tons. 10 yrs warranty. 付cash要价$5500，贷款$
5800.
Aprilaire humidifier: Model 600/600M: 400
Hot water heater, 40 Gal: 800
2.中型公司：
Trane 4TTB3036, 3 tons, 13 SEER, 5 yrs warranty, $3640;
Upgrade to 14 seer, add $1540, then it's $5180;
Aprilaire humidifier: Model 600/600M: 685;
Hot water heater, 40 Gal: 1495.
3.小公司：还没来估价。
值得多花1500-2000换个14 SEER的空调吗？
第二家给的humidifier和water heater的价都太离谱了。貌似人也根本不在乎这个生意
，我是不是干脆以后找人单 |

Check out www.bbb.org, and check out "Air conditioning and heating", find
contractor with A+ rating.
You should ask several contractors to come in for estimates, and then choose
one fitting your needs.
The best brands: Lennox, Trane, Carrier, York
Goodman is not good.
The contractor and installations are equally important as product itself. |

But they only have usefull life of 15 to 20 years.
For gas powered ac unit, I suggest Robur brand, and they can last 30 to 50
years.

Goodman, Amana 便宜点.
影响价格因素很多
Total price = furance price + labor cost
95% AFUE > 80% AFUE
80 gallan >50 gallan
2 stage > 1 stage
multi speed blower > single speed blower
另外furnace 放在哪里，是否容易access也影响到labor费用
多问几家要quote，多做research吧。

to burn, if the furnace is in attic or basement,
attic or basement may be too air-tight,
call contractor to check
the problem, it can be dangerous in my own opinion.

furnace should have two pipes: one is for vent; the other is for fresh air
intake. I guess that your contractor did cheap way, did not install intake
air pipe. |

There are indeed two pipes, one exhaust and one intake. Someone from the
company came and diagnosed that my return air duct may not be big enough. I'
ll see how it goes after they widen it.

a similar problem and learned a few things. If you haven't tried this,
please start with the simplest thing: pull out your air filter and see if it
improves. If you are using some good filters, such as the pleated filter
from Costco, the chance is the filter is blocking air flow. You may want to
use a different type of filter. |

作了,然后温度一直上不去,后来爬到
attic上看了下,发现那个指示灯在alternate flash,所以找了technician来看,顺便做
了tune up, technician说是flame
sensor脏了,可能sense不到flame,他给清理了一下那个问题就不见了,现在如果温度温
度打70, 在没到70的时候,furnace就
会一直运转,但是房子的温度升的很慢,算了下,大概一小时才能升一度,请问这个是
furnace的问题吗?还是管道需要清理呢?谢

It can be easily changed by yourself, or just call an HVAC service. Also
check to see if your AC is still under warranty like mine. If so, this will
be covered by your warranty. |

local electrical supply house or hvac parts store from yellow book... make
sure you get the exact same model as what you have now.
by the way, to check if the capacitor is blown out, you can open up the side
cover of your outdoor ac unit and look to see if the top of the capacitor
is bumped out... |
