thoughts to other people in english so they understand you.
to be able to argue, debate like a laywer in front of a judge is a whole new
level which is hard to do even for native speakers. |

When I was in DC, Engineer II is 62k. At that time, my salary
is low. So the laywer condcuted some survey to determine the
prevailing wage. Engineer II should be good for EB2 and the
prevailing wage for Engineer II in Houston should be less than
70k, I guess. |

tax return from your tuition. You don't have to own a huge debt after you
get your J.D. Those part-time J.D. students usually have advanced degrees.
That is why they can have a job before they get their JD. I don't think
clients really ask every laywer whether they were part-time students.

I agree with littlenorth.
Many of what FallenEmbers said in his original post are true, and are
reasonable precautions to people who are contemplating about going to law
school. However, littlenorth's corrections of certain statements are also
absolutely true. FallenEmbers, you may not know some of these facts because
of your unique position as an in-house counsel rather than working as an
associate in a biglaw firm, so I do not begrudge you about it.

many IT engineers get, what, only "1.5 billable hrs" a day, if there's such
thing as billable hrs in IT industry, and then waste the rest of 8 hrs
everyday.
their hourly pay is as good as associates in big firms. |

我看Boston Legal, Justice, Suits等片子看得惊心动魄，没有经历过实际庭辩，只是
自己想象应该会很激烈。
不过我看了片子后，出于好奇，会尽量核实片中提到的细节和现实的差距。比方看了电
影《12怒汉》后，我就翻到了一片Cornell法律教授写的《Deliberation and Dissent:
12 Angry Men versus the Empirical Reality of Juries》，分析对比电影和现实中
陪审团deliberation过程的差异。我仔细看了论文全文（该文根据实际陪审团案例统计
分析），从陪审团的初次投票时间、第一次投票和最后一次投票关系，中间的讨论过程
、男主角行为真实发生的概率等等方面考证。全文反映该电影就是放在50年后的今天，
依旧真实性很高。"I conclude that Henry Fonda, or someone like him, sits to-
day on an American jury."
