semester, found out that there are more openings in midwest, (for music
teachers). I wonder how I can get the information about those private
schools in east coast area?

instrument. I remember last time I did a presentation about A bing, after I
played his "er quan ying yue"to the class, one of my classmates said :"I
cannot stand on this kind of music"
I think once I get a job, I will introduce my student those great chinese
music, yellow river piano concerto,and chorul piece. I even want to
introduce my students Beijing Opera, but honestly, most wester people don't
appreciate it. |

发帖数: 1160 | 17 这个星期小学实习开始，非常stressful,但是收获挺大。
我的合作老师是台湾人在这里已经教了30多年了，比美国老师还要棒。她给了我很多帮
助，也很无私。我可以感觉到我的弱点是语言，她也很坦率的指出我的弱点，并且会帮
助我纠正语言的问题。虽然很紧张压力也很大但是觉得有收获。这个这个学校是个非常
好的学校，家长们普遍很有钱，所以他们的期望值也很高，在这个学校工作的老师都很
优秀，曾经有的老师因为家长不喜欢而不得不离开。
说实话我其实心里还是对自己的语言能力没信心，这么好的学校我是不敢take a
position的，尽管我的合作老师说她要在这一两年内退休，她希望我能找到一份工作锻
炼一年半载的然后去申请她的位置。可是我实在是没胆量接她的班，哪怕是一年半载以
后。
lankeen,能说说你的经验吗？需要鼓励！ |

only worry about English. Though I learnd English in Middle and high school
in China,it was almost nothing, I actually started to learn Chinese after I
came to the US about 6 years ago, my English gets better each year. Going to
school is really helpful. Now I am writting down those useful sentences
that my cooperating teacher uses to manage the class.
She suggested the same thing as you said, reading kids books and talki |
