发帖数: 14 | 2 我一来加拿大就开始关注房子的情况. 买房子之前要充分了解市场情况, 直到什么地段什么样的房子大约值多少钱, 然后和卖家砍价的时候心理才有把握.否则就会看得眼花缭乱,最后都不知道是否合适自己.
最开始的第一步是十分盲目的到处乱转, 每个周末如果没事儿,就去看Open house. 经过了一段时间, 就基本了解到我的这点银子就不要指望在Victoria City买到看起来还像样的房子了. 所以之后目光直接描向Langford. Langford有点接近亦庄在北京的地位. 大部分都是新建的房子(10年以内的房子都算新房子, 这里的老房子一般都有100年左右的历史). 而且新建的大型超市都在langford, 比如Costco, Super Store, Home Depot, Futureshop等等. 因为Victoria City的空地在40年前就已经全部修建完了. 我们以前就经常来Langford购物,所以对这里还是比较满意. 而且Langford靠近TransCanada #1 hway, 交通还算方便. 我现在买的房子就靠近#1 hway, 上班的距离是22公里,开车大约25分钟就 |

I saw this a short time ago during Chris Christie’s latest briefing.
Basically there were urgent warnings to get out Saturday, and it appears
many of the residents of Atlantic City, at the urging of the mayor, ignored
them. Buses were available but nobody got on them.
Now Atlantic City is under water.

我们有两个oc，bollman负责gameplan，另一个oc Warner负责call play，昨天第三节
落后以后couch D也参与了call。
我赛季初就说了，bollman不擅长叫play，我们都知道。但你非要说bollman一文不值，
那有点太过了。我还是相信couch D的眼光的。至少bollman来了之后我们的running
game提高很明显，让天赋一般的langford都能rush 100+yard。langford已经拿了17个
td, 而去年bell才拿了12个td，敢相信么？ |

这个岛主要是英国美国移民过来的有钱人和加拿大退休老人定居的地方。
非常安静和舒服的地方，但是需要有钱或者有稳定工作。
EE强的有的是人想来岛上，基本都适应不下去，给EE机会太少。
如果没什么钱，身份都没解决，就老老实实在美国待着，别到处乱跑。
这个岛气温和温哥华一样，但是雨季比温哥华/西雅图少1/3，比布法罗少1/2。
岛上有两个英美聚居区，当地人主要在LANGFORD和SAANICH。这个像台湾那么大，维多
利亚在最南端，两面雪山，可以同时看见南面西雅图奥林匹克雪山和东面温哥华落籍山
系的格罗斯雪山。三面环海，岛上湖泊和森林无数，治安非常好，也是美国加拿大地区
最干净的城市。几乎没有黑人和老墨，亚裔主要是少数中国和韩国留学生。还是那句话
，如果靠工作的年龄段而且经济实力一般，就慎重别来了。 |

【明报专讯】加拿大统计局昨日公布2011年人口普查结果，显示首次有更多人居住加拿
大西部(见另稿)，而全国人口密度最高的十个主要城市中，卑诗省便佔了五位，其中四
个在大温地区，温哥华更成為全国人口密度最高的城市。过去五年大温地区的人口增长
率高达9.3%，仍然為全国第三大都会区。大温各城市中人口增长最高的城市则為满地宝
，增长率达到19.9%。
加拿大统计局昨日公布根据2011年人口普查的最新统计，显示温哥华市每平方公里的土

发帖数: 14 | 32 这次买车应该是我人生中第4次买车了。不像上次买车那么着急，这次有比较充足的时间考察北美汽车市场。上次买车纯属逼到绝路上了。那时候我刚来加拿大，正好赶上圣诞节，卖车的都歇业了。我一个人孤苦伶仃住在Richmond一个家庭旅馆里面，附近连饭馆都关门了，没有车连饭都吃不上。而且我还着急赶快买了车好开到Victoria定居。所以车行开门第一天我就急急火火低买了现在这个二手的Matrix回来。当时也没有更多的时间和机会去选择了。还在这个Matrix还没有太多的问题。除了空调不工作以外。这里夏天根本不热，没有空调也无所谓。我这不一个夏天好好的过来了。
这次买车是因为买了房子，要搬家到比较远的Langford City了。目前我们住的地方上班比较方便Car Pool。所以一个车也够用。等搬走以后就没有人可以Car Pool了。我们两个上班的方向又是一个南一个北。必须得再买一个车子。而且现在的Matrix已经多次发现在北美的生活方式下不够用的情况。北美这里不像在中国，买什么东西都有人给送货。而且这里很多东西都必须自己动手搬。一旦有了房子，不像中国的楼房，自己有了House，自己搬的东西更多。今天推了除 |

当时KU的阵容也是继97年保罗.皮尔丝和拉夫伦茨那界之后最强的一套, 队中有DREW
GOODEN, HINRICH和NICK COLLISON, 再加上很不错的板凳,包括WAYNE SIMEN, KEITH
LANGFORD,和ARON MILES, 雄心壮志的ROY很想猛搞一把的。果然季前就被媒体寄予厚望,
被排在了第二位(还是第一?)。常规赛打的也算顺利，32场输掉三场，分别是UCLA，OKLAH
OMA 和BALL STATE （是在一个什么狗屁邀请赛上，这是ROY或KU的专利，每年都会输给一

期间一对19岁的英国女孩因在一场万圣节服装比赛中装扮成燃烧中的纽约世贸双塔就遭
到了网民的批判。
据报道，两名英国少女琥珀·朗( Amber Langford)和安妮·科林奇(Annie
Collinge 在切斯特( Chester)夜总会 Rosie’s举行的万圣节装扮比赛上，赢得约合
240美元的奖金之后，该2人的万圣节装扮图像犹如病毒般在互联网上迅速传播。
她们的服装分别贴着“北塔(North Tower)” 与和“南塔(South Tower)”，影射
“9·11”恐怖袭击时，世贸双子遭受飞机撞击的非常时刻。该服装还包括当时双塔中
人们跳楼逃生而死的小模型以及袭击事件中灰雾云层里若隐若现的美国国旗影像，均被
