Rivermark, all the way to Scott are affected by the landfill during the
summer time.
I lived in Rivermark for several years and it is common to smell something
from 6 to 8 PM.

一次。运进去的垃圾没有任何的处理，直接倒在地上，然后就是一辆巨型的压路机把垃
圾撵碎，压平。整个垃圾场臭气熏天，令人做呕。海风非常大，正对着居民区的方向。
垃圾场声称没有他们垃圾无处可去的说法也是危言耸听。旧金山市的垃圾是运往
Altamond Hill Landfill.这家Landfill位于580沿线湾区和中谷交界的山区，远离居民
区。我经常路过580，从来没有闻到过异味。他们和旧金山市的合约即将到期，另一家
位于Yuba City的Ostrom Road Landfill正在积极争取把旧金山抢过去。
Yuba City离旧金山两个小时车程，很显然如果他们收费一样，是不可能抢得过近在一

landfill 公司同时可以处理垃圾填埋（landfill)和 recycle 业务。所以你可以送到
landfill 公司去 RECYCLE! 这和你送walmart， autozone 去 recycle 是一样的。
walmart/autozone 这些地方最后也是找垃圾回收公司处理这些东西。垃圾回收公司甚
至也可以不叫 landfill，比如就叫 recycle center 等等。象覆盖我家的垃圾回收处
理公司甚至连 recycle 这种字样都没有，但人家就是有这个业务。
landfill 这个词本身就是填埋的意思。你去查哪国的英文词典都是如此。

了。在NO E 战友通知我关于垃圾场的事情，我第一时间也是在NEXTDOOR POST。 很多
华裔和非华裔的义工也是在ＮＥＸＴＤＯＯＲ 和ＦＢ， ＷＥＣＨＡＴ 一起联系的
。。
反垃圾场至今为止义工们居民们已经在ＪＥＮＮＩＦＥＲ和好几个积极人士的组织下：
１。ＯＮＬＩＮＥ ＰＥＴＩＴＩＯＮ 已经有２千多人签名
２。每周开会，都有５０－６０人不等参加，已经连续３周。
３。ＷＥＣＨＡＴ， ＧＯＯＧＬＥＧＲＯＵＰ， ＦＡＣＥＢＯＯＫ， ＮＥＸＴＤ
ＯＯＲ 都是一起运作，让大家一起互相交流。

--tri-cities landfill, 在880 auto-mall出口附近；
--newby island landfill, 880 dixon landing出口附近，距离高速2000英尺左右，近
的离谱，这是大家开车经过都能闻到。
-- zanker landfill, 这个在237的zanker出口附近。
-- SMaT station, 这个在237的Lawrence出口 附近。
基本上880/237交接出变成了垃圾厂的集中地，这个不仅仅是臭味和空气污染，每天会
有大量垃圾车进出237/880运送垃圾，尤其是zanker的那个主要是建筑垃圾，垃圾车基
本上把237的右边两条lane封死，湾区现在这么多工地，每天的垃圾都会走880/237.

It is true that there is no specific closing date until it reaches the limit

Without the 2009 extension, the landfill would soon be closed. It could
still operate as a recycle center which is not a landfill.
The height limit was around 100ft. It was extended to 145ft in 2009.
San Jose City council failed the whole bay area residents.
