I'm posting a lot about this these days because of my torn labrum, but I
can explain it like this:
You have to tear up the joint to get at it and fix it. You need to make the
bone marrow bleed. The scab is the glue that holds the labrum in place.
If the procedure fails, the labrum fails to adhere.
And guess what?
You just butchered the joint for nothing.
I had the best doctor in the country - Dr Yocum. He and Dr Andrews were the

from this type of surgery. Will Carroll, a baseball medical expert, wrote
about labrum surgery back in the early 2000s. His results showed, "Of the 36
major-league hurlers diagnosed with labrum tears in the last five years,
only midlevel reliever Rocky Biddle has returned to his previous level." One
out of 36 is not very good odds.

发帖数: 153 | 5 老朱也是tore labrum手术，貌似伤势比大运气严重，从我了解的情况看，tore labrum
的严重程度主要看是否有或者有多少骨头损失，撕裂的部分多大，手术一般就是把撕裂
的部分用骨钉固定上。我儿子的伤也同样是tore labrum，但是没去找名医，是他们的
队医做的手术，多少了解一些情况。
手术后的physical therapy对恢复也至关重要。 |

发帖数: 1703 | 7 我的右肩打球伤可能要做手术了，伤已经有七八个月了，前天orthopedics diagnose
“posterior labrum tear”。建议作arthroscopic手术。
试过了很多保守疗法，physical therapy, chiro,针灸，冰敷热敷，好像没有什么太明
显效果，至少没有使pain completely go away. 疼痛时好时坏，多数时候不是太疼，
而且睡觉也无碍。但是总是有刺痛感，打球不行，对生活工作也满烦心的。
上网查了很多关于肩伤的资料，各种肩伤里面包括rotate cuff injury, 诊断的labrum
tear好像症状和我自己的感觉是比较相似。但是两个月前做过的MRI report里面，没
有查出问题，报告里说 “labrum appears to be intact”. orthopedics 说可能是因
为比较小的tear,MRI有时诊断不出来。只有arthroscopic手术可以做出比较准确的判断。
现在有两个选择，作这个arthroscopic手术，需要很长的恢复期。六个星期戴sling,然

发帖数: 94 | 8 本人30多岁，直偏瘦，平时锻炼也不算多，但是也不是完全不动，以快走，慢跑，踢踢
腿，拉拉身体为主。
最近半年右侧hip和髋处疼，平时不疼，但是跑起步来疼的厉害，根本跑不了，快走20-
30分钟也会疼，我一开始以为是不是跑步的时候扭住了，卡住了，或者踢腿的时候踢很
了，要不就是没有warm up拉伤啥的。一开始也没在意，想就是停止跑步踢腿等，平时
就走走。结果半年多，还是没好好，跑两步右侧的髋骨处里面（就是右腿和身体链接处
）就疼的厉害，而且右腿感觉不得劲，感觉总有东西拽着。
于是就约专科医生看，一开始说怀疑有肌肉或者髋骨连接处撕裂，说做个outpatient的
缝合手术就好了，结果MRI做下来，说我要做个 femoral acetabular osteotomy的大手
术，就是把右腿股头截断，然后把链接的骨头和髋骨重新position,再把右腿钉上去，
说是因为右腿和髋骨链接不好是最终原因。
然后这个老头医生觉得我很可怜，不停的说很抱歉你这么惨，没有其他治疗办法了，我
差点再医生办公室哭下来。我出了医院立刻去做MRI的地方要了我的MRI结果，能否请版

第三天去看医生，x光没问题。三周过去了，肩膀做某些动作的时候还是有些痛。做MRI
，显示有labrum tear（不太清楚什么意思，大概就是肩膀关节的软组织损伤吧）。
让我感到很气愤的事情是Geico说他们80%的责任，而我也要负20%的责任，因为我作为
行人需要保持警惕。当时的情景：还没全黑的晚上，下雨，有路灯，我打伞。对方说我
穿的深色衣服。我觉得就是瞎扯的理由，因为我全程都走在sidewalk上面。
问，我需要找律师吗？

在国内301做过手术，情况比术前更糟，不敢再随便做手术了。。。
这儿问过医生，说，给你做个关节镜试试，不行的话，再做个大手术。
在网上看到过，有些很好的棒球运动员，有这个问题，有些很好的医生能治，只是很难
遇到这么好的医生。。。。

labrum pathology is more likely. X-ray won't help you, MRI is the way to go,
plus if you really have avn, it can be seen earlier on MRI that X-ray.

里得这个的多些，号称“投手绝症”，极难治好。网上说米勒回复期至少9到12个月，
然后看恢复得怎么样。靠，看来原来对他这个伤低估了。

建议私信咨询下老刀，另外最好多看几个专精肩部手术的骨科医生，评估各种建议再慎
重决定。
