有人注意到现在在 ebay 上有中国厂家大甩卖炭素车架,有些看起来像 Kuota,
有些看起来像 Orbea. 一只 $300, 他们还卖车头碗,水壶架,坐管,前叉,把手...
全是碳素,全都便宜得匪夷所思。在进了我的 Cervelo P1 以后 ($1450, 2009
closeout 货),我觉得我也应该把road bike 改头换面了。
目标:以最低的价格装出一台山寨 Kuota kredo.
第一步:把零件从我的老坐骑 Bianchi Boron XL 上拔下来,这件事远比听来的
容易。基本上只要一组 allen keys 就可以拆掉基本上所有的 bike parts.
Bianchi 上的 Campy Centaur 零件们基本还在可以工作的状态,就是需要洗一洗。
拆 crankset 是最麻烦的。要先用 8mm allen 拧下两个固定螺,再用 crank
puller 把大齿盘顶出来。刹车夹具,手把,煞变把,坐垫,后变,轮组,齿 |

a corner in a crit at 30 mph. Who know’s how safe that unmarked Kuota
really is? Did it pass final inspection? What it a reject that someone snuck
out the door? Not something that I would want to find out at the wrong
moment. |

长得极胖。 我可能要被迫(微笑)把 crankset 换成 chorus/record,
他们的 crank arms 比较出去。要去掉 200g 了。

Kuota 上拆下来的)compact 50/34, 车子立马轻了近半磅。(原来的是 Centaur 860g
+
Chorus BB 220g = 1080g, FSA 大盘加 BB 905g) 代价:前变的顺畅程度大减,不知道
是因为
non-campy crank 还是 compact 的原因。 |

链条:被我骑断了,换成 SRAM PC-1 Nickel
大盘:太重,齿比太小,被我换成 Campagnolo Centaur 53/39
后胎:被我骑破,换成某 BMX 胎
坐垫:被我骑破,换成 Selle Italia Gel
想换 BB 但没工具...
看起来还算 badass 吧...

坐管 (Kalloy to Forte)/
大盘 (Campy to FSA)/
龙头 (3T forgie to Vision sizemore)/
坐垫 (selle italia to Fizik pave)

山寨 Kuota 的大盘 +$35, 龙头 +$50, 坐管 +$20, 坐垫 +$35. 多了 $140.
这些小东西 adds up so fast.... |

零售价格 $300,让原厂自己卖要是 $4000。有人做这种生意吗?有。
事实上一些大的 retailer 像 performance bike, pedal force, bikes direct
都会进自己的无牌车架贴牌出售,然后至少 markup 三倍。他们有供应链
,资金,零售渠道,还有自己的修理团队能保证品质。相反的,我认识几个
试着做这生意的个体户,基本都失败了。他们不能维持基本的库存,因为
没有资金。你想,你是个新客户,打个电话去问问一间新公司,"请问
你们有 kuota 的 50 cm 架子吗?" "没有,但是我可以去定,三星期
到货。" 我听到这一句就挂了。他们没法子维持车子的质量,因为 QA
和修理工人都是他们自己。修理一次的 turnaround 是三天。谁受得了啊。

整个 build 不含踏板是 18.5 lb。 $530 买个 18.5 lb 的 campy carbon

~1750g) 但还过得去。有钱了再上 neuvation. seatpost 是该换 -- 比所有其他的
sp 都重了近 200g。saddle 在这车上实在是丑得出奇,但是我又比较习惯坐他了...
还有一我想到的减重目标是 crankset. Centaur 的 alloy crankset 近 900g
重,随便哪个 carbon crankset 都比他轻近一磅。

brand" company. Who would otherwise regularly visit those factories,
scrutinize their management, and bash the ISO9002 process?
Bottom line is, as far as for all the people racing on these no name frames
(myself included, pedalforce), I have yet to see a single post about such a
no-name frame cracking during race.
On the contrary, I personally know a guy who has cracked two Cervelo frames,
and he is not a racer.

我测试这件事是为了让广大想骑好车的理工 wsn 找个出路。你会组电脑你就会组单车。

以给这种车贴牌为生,还有人骑着它去比赛。(我自己是会骑 P1 上阵)
再者,我们的力量远不到可以把车架逼到近 spec 极限的程度(我可不是
Thor,力量那么大还敢骑 cervelo 的 prototype).
最后,近十年只有一人在 Tour 下坡时车子坏掉摔残了,他的名字是
Joseba Beloki, 他骑的是 Giant TCR composite. |

车架子这么大。正牌 Kuota 的架子 ~$3000, 山寨的 ~$300. 但是 campy 的
BB ~$150-200, token 的 $60-70. 这个价格差引不起我去买山寨牌的兴趣。 |

S1. 就我自己 Cervelo P1 和山寨 Kuota 的比较感觉,Cervelo 的架子 stiff
得惊人,你会觉得一点点能量都没浪费掉。我甚至有要把我山寨车换成 S1 的冲动。

to consider having a generic carbon model just to be commercially viable.
Personally I believe my model will be much better than the knock off Kuota.
The issue with many of these 山寨 frames from China is, their engineers are
not engineers. NOr do they know about racing heritage and human anatomy.

I went to quite a few factories in China and it was my impression from
talking to them. Most of them have very little knowledge about bike
handling, such as trail, setoff, rake, reach, stack, etc. These are far
more important to bike fit and handling than mere seattube c-c measurement.
My Shanzhai frame is probably the most popular Shanzhai frame of 2010 (they
sold over 7500 of them), yet its engineering in terms of geometry is
