between Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with Wuhan University,
and the city of Kunshan.[1] On September 17, 2013, the Chinese Ministry of
Education granted final approval.[2]

中共强力反腐机构中纪委近期罕见批评了包括北京大学、清华大学等在内的14所高校意
识形态工作不力、贯彻中共教育方针不到位。

综合媒体6月21日消息，中纪委近期在调查后指出，上述高校存在的问题包括“党的领
导作用发挥不够，落实党委领导下的校长负责制普遍不到位，贯彻党的教育方针不到位
，高校纪委履职宽松软”。
中纪委官网此前公布了中央巡视组对14所高校巡视情况。其中包括清华大学、北京大学
、浙江大学、山东大学、四川大学、重庆大学、同济大学。
英国媒体《金融时报》称，中纪委还批评了中国高校与西方教育机构的合作关系。如武
汉大学与杜克大学（Duke University）合办的昆山杜克大学（Duke Kunshan
University）。
对此，昆山杜克大学常务副校长西蒙(Denis Simon)表示，此次巡视不会对合办高校产
生直接影响。

It's more like selecting the one that needs assistance more, but
without much funding from the central government, with only policies
or just a title. This reminds me of the first one who ate the crab,
Kunshan. They didn't care much about the title. They just kept working
and eventually the central government acknowledged their efforts.
