，新西兰南岛西岸地区格雷茅斯地区的Pike River煤矿发生爆炸。截止到11月22日，29

最后，预测一下the Big One的epicenter, 想必是去年（10/30/07）的Magnitude 5.4
event near Alum Rock处无疑，因为this event (/30/07 Magnitude 5.4 event near
Alum Rock)，将弯曲最危险的Hayward fault （现在处于150年的窗口期）与另一条大
致沿I-680走向的Calaveras fault连在一起。不过，南湾鬼谷的同学大可放心，大部分
鬼谷的office buildings都不太高，且不少是1995年后建造的。再加上大部分鬼谷的
single family houses也是1995年后建造的，均符合1995年发布的新抗震规范的要求。
只是在最危险的是三藩及Oakland的Downtown的high-rise office buildings上班的各
位，小心驶得万年船，take care.

今天TNT之夜，必有抓马。
狗洞开赛12连胜已经平了教主的卫冕冠军新赛季开赛连胜纪录。
今天将面对有名的黑哨主场，快船。
狗洞最近势头有些弱，连续两个主场被网和小虫纠缠良久，最后关头才险胜。
追梦绿/冲锋枪/活屯都有伤在身，能上场但能发挥几分是个问题。
狗洞的moving screen如果被放大镜针对的话， 这场球就不容易了。
特别是破船的哨子不是一般的黑，全队上下在flop king三炮的带领下就近和好莱坞磨
练了逼真的演技。但最大的悬念是小破船的三炮到底能否上场，虽然听说已经开始参加
训练了。

Peter Knowles，出生于1945年。1963年，年仅18岁就代表Wolverhampton登场比赛，
并逐渐成为球队的中坚人物。在美国比赛时，接触到耶和华见证人，并成为其中的一员，
随后在1969年宣布退出足坛。狼队把他的球员登机保留了12年，盼望他有一天能够回来

多为男性），聘请他到夜店搭讪自己的伴侣，以检验对方的忠诚度，两年来他已赚进20
万英镑（约32万美元）。
英国《太阳报》等媒体报导，187公分高、顶着刺猬头还小露胸毛的诺尔斯（Jack
Knowles），是在意外之下开始这份工作。2009年他抓到女友劈腿后，到夜店借酒浇愁
。当时一名中年男子询问他，是否愿意以100英镑的代价，到不远的另一间夜店搭讪自
己的老婆，测试她的反应。
虽然该男子的老婆，对诺尔斯完全没兴趣，却让他有了创业的灵感。他架设网站专
门帮人检测另一半的忠诚度。诺尔斯收费以「距离」计价，若地点离他很近，收费约

他们的人口可是华人和犹太人的好几倍啊。

过去十几年间，科学家用地面望远镜和太空探测器反反复复在大尺度上观测宇宙，发现
空间……并不是弯曲的。最新的一个结果是在2013年底由“重子振动分光镜勘测（
Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey，简称 BOSS）”发现、2014年1月宣布的
：在大尺度上，宇宙空间是“异乎寻常的平直（extraordinarily flat）”。
像这样超乎寻常的结论，科学家有超乎寻常的证据。弯曲空间中没有真正的“平行线”
—— 比如你在地球的赤道上画两条平行线，你会发现这两条线会在极地交叉到一起；
而如果空间曲率是负的，平行线之间的相互距离就会越来越远。但是科学家测量遥远星
系的光，发现并没有这种弯曲。
科学家还仔细考察了宇宙微波背景辐射的地图。如果空间是弯曲的，这个图就会有些弯
曲，如下图所示 ——
但是科学家观察不到任何弯曲。现在观测的结果，我们有误差小于1%的精度，认为宇宙
是平直的。

随着有关法律的生效实施，一对女同性伴侣本月成为了英国首对共同在孩子出生证
上签字的家长，也同时成为了孩子法律上的双亲。
居住在英国布里顿（Brighton）地区的这对女同性恋伴侣是38岁的娜塔莉-伍兹（
Natalie Woods）和47岁的伊丽莎白-诺尔斯（Elizabeth Knowles）。本月早些时候，
借助他人捐出的精子和人工授精，伍兹生下了孩子。在布里顿市政府机构填写孩子出生
证明时，诺尔斯和孩子的生母伍兹作为合法双亲共同在孩子出生证上签名。
根据2008年通过的英国《人工生殖与胚胎学法案》，同性恋伴侣可共同成为孩子的
双亲，并享有作为孩子家长的法律权利。在以往，只有孩子的亲生母亲才可在出生证上
签字，孩子生母的同性伴侣只能通过其它法律程序成为孩子的第二个母亲。为适应新法
律的实施，出生证也有了不同版本，一部分证明上有待填写的“父亲”和“母亲”栏已
被两个“家长”代替。
依照有关法律，已合法登记为民事伴侣关系的女同性恋人在一方生育孩子后，双方
都自动成为孩子的合法母亲，除非有一方提出放弃这一权利的书面要求。此外，男同性
伴侣双方也可成为孩子出生 |
