LR: Kef Q70 pair (new $700 from accessory4less)
center: Q6cl (floor demo $300)
surround: Q10 pair (floor demo $100)
Sub: used top brand ($500)
totol $1600, can upgrade front to XQ in 2 years if needed, then move Q70 to
be back speakers for a 7.1 system.
I can also do Jamo 7.1 as some experts here recommended:
4 e770 = $600
center $100
Surround c400 = 80
Sub: used top brand ($500)
totol $1280,

can spend $6000 -7000, but hope to only spend 4-5000 this year to give some
flexibility on finance.
Plan to buy $1600 level LCD 1080p projector, and has designated dark room in
basement for HT, in size of 22 feet by 11 feet.
With this kind of budget and 7.1 system using projector and 110 inch screen,
how much should I spend on speakers?
So seems like I need to go with Floor stand 3-way speakers for the front
pair instead of any satellite ones? |

Buy this local deal for $400, use C1 and C3 as surround and back pairs, but
Q7 for 700. replace sub with used brand name eventually for $500, total $
1600 for 7.1 system.
Don't know how good is C series as HT, and the C4 sub is a waste of money. |

The sub is gone.
The studio 80 system's owner is firm on price and insist include sub.
I think I am going to listen to it tomorrow and decide, very tempting.
What should I bring to test it and how to listen to fidn out the nature of
the system? He claim that owned 10 years but not much using it last three
years.
